여러분의 조부모님 세대는 보통 한 직업을 평생 유지하는 경우가 많았습니다.
회사에 근무하시는 경우 한 회사를 계속 다니는 경우가 많았고 정년 퇴직을 하시는 분들이 많았죠.
시대가 점점 변화하고있고 그 변화의 속도가 계속 빨라지면서 직업도, 직업관도 많이 변화하고 있습니다.
인기가 매우 높았던 직종이 인기가 없어지거나 아예 사라지는 직업도 생겨나고, 없던 직업이 새로이 생겨나기도 합니다.
기술의 발전, 인간의 수명의 연장, 직업에 대한 개인의 가치관의 변화 등 많은 다양한 요인에 의해 우리의 직업세계도 함께 변화하고 있나봅니다.
십여년 전부터 투잡(two jobs)이라는 단어를 썼던 것 같습니다.
투잡은 경제적인 이유나 취미 활동을 위해 본래의 직업과 부업을 함께 병행하는 두 개의 직업을 가진 사람을 이르는 말로 주 5일제 근무 형태가 확산되고 경기 침체로 인한 고용 불안이 심화되면서 점점 투잡을 가지는 사람들이 늘어나고 있습니다. 특히 인터넷을 통한 소호 창업이 2004년 초까지 지속적으로 증가하면서 20∼30대 투잡 직업인들이 대거 등장하였죠.
그러나 최근에는 취업난으로 임시 비정규직에 종사할 수밖에 없는 사람들이 본업만으로는 생계가 어려워 투잡을 갖게 되는 생계형 투잡족이 늘어나고 있다고합니다.
그렇다면 여러분 세대에 있어서 직업은 멀티잡의 개념이 맞을 듯 합니다.
그 미래에는 풀타임으로 한가지 일을 하기보다는 풀타임에 상으하는 시간에 여러가지 일을 하게 될것이라고 합니다. 가지기를 기대해야한다는 조언조차도 시대에 뒤 떨어진 것처럼 보입니다.
