1. Adjective often follows a form of Be - am / are / is
I am polite. (I am a polite person.)
We are diligent. (We are diligent students.)
My dad is honest. (My dad is a honest man.)
 
2. Whether the subject of the sentence is singular or plural, adjective doesn’t change     accordingly.
A Cheetah is fast. -------- Cheetahs (they) are fast.
Mary is hardworking. -------- Mary and I (we) are hardworking.
(incorrect: They are intelligents. The tests are difficults)
 
3. Common Adjectives    Following adjectives are opposite in meaning.
beautiful - ugly
big - ugly
big (large) - little (small)
cheap - expensive
clean - dirty
cold - hot
dark - light
dangerous - safe
easy - difficult (hard)
empty - full 		good - bad
happy - sad
high - low
honest - dishonest
hungry - full
important - unimportant
interesting - boring
kind/nice - mean
lazy - diligent
long - short 		noisy - quiet
old - young
poor - rich
skinny - fat
slow - fast
smart - foolish
sour - sweet
strong - weak
tall - short
thick - thin
