1.책표지를 보시고 느끼신 소감을 적어볼까요?

 내용이나 주제는 워낙 유명해서 익히 알고 있는 책이니까요.

 

2.각 챕터의 제목을 번역해본다면 어떻게 번역하실건가요?

번역본에 1챕터가 ‘일찍 일어나는 사람에게 행운’이라고 번역되어있는 것이 새로워서 여러분이 번역하면 어찌표현하실지 궁금해서 미션 내보았습니다.

 

3.이 책은 아침식사전 펀네 집에서 일어난 어떤일로 시작됩니다.어떤일이 있었나요?(1챕터)

 

4.등교버스를 타고 펀은 아기돼지를 생각하며 “Wilber”라는 이름을 지어줍니다.

   grunt - 꿀꿀 거리다.

   enchant - 호리다

   peer - 같은 패

   wade - 걸어 건너기

   scythe - 큰 낫

   sneaking - 살금 살금 움직이다.

    sourly - 기분 나쁘게

   glutton - 대식가

  


1. 책 표지를 보고 느낀 소감

    유명한 책이라 했지만 전혀 몰랐던 책

    책 표지만 보고 든 느낌은 여자 아이와 농장동물들의 이야기가 펼쳐지겠구나

    그런데 왜 거미줄이 있을까?

    web이 제목에 있음에도 한 번에 인지하지 못했네요.



2. 각 챕터의 제목 번역

   슬픈 아침 / 윌버 / 준비없는 탈출 / 외로움 / 샤롯 / 새로운 계절 - 여름


3. 아침식사 전 일어나 사건

   엄마돼지가 새끼를 낳았는데 그 중 한마리가 허약체라 아빠가 죽이려한 일이 발생

   이를 알게된 딸이 아빠를 말리고 부모님은 허락을 해 줌



4. 애완동물 소개

    키우며 잘 해 주기도 못 해 주기도 했는데 항상 든든한 그리고 날 외롭지 않게 해 준 아이들이었네요.

    (지금은 없기에 과거형) 항상 마지막이 좋지 않았고 지켜주지 못 했고 안 아프게 해 주지 못 했어요.

    내가 할 수 있을 때나 할 수 없을 때나



9. 아이와 나눌 이야기

   이건 무슨 책이야?  엄마 공부 책.

   무슨 내용이야?  아기 돼지 이야기 

   그런데 왜 거미줄이 있어.

   거미랑 돼지가 친구가 되는 이야기야  엄마가 더 읽고 이야기해 줄께.

   책 읽기 초반에 아이와 나눴던 내용이네요.

  

   그 후 어떤 이야기를 해 줄 수 있을까? 생각해봤어요.

   농장의 편안함에 익숙해 진 윌버, 다양한 감정들을 느끼고 불안해하지만

   그 때마다 현명한 거미친구 샤롯은 윌버를 이해해주고 조언해주고

   좋은 길로 끌어줘요.

   딸아이도 다른 친구를 보듬을 수 있는 현명한 사람이 됐으면 좋겠다는 말을 해 주고 싶네요.

샬롯책  첫번째  분량을  읽고  미션수행하여  보았습니다.

6기 북클럽은  책읽고  숙제만 제출하는 방은  아닙니다 .

원서를  잼나게  꼼꼼히 읽고  이야기  나누기라면  될까요?

책읽으시며 어떠셨는지  미션수행 내용에서  읽혀지기도  하지만 서로서로의  글에  댓글을  다시면서  좀 더  많은  이야기들이  오갔으면  좋겠어요.

원서를  오래도록  함께  읽을수  있는  방법이  저는 갠적으로  서로의 댓글이라고 생각해요.

다들  바쁘신거  알지만  짬짬이  다른분의  미션수행글에  따뜻한 댓글  부탁드립니당~~!!!

runt : (한배에서 태어난 새끼들 중)제일 작고 약한 녀석

do away with : 버리다. 처분하다

shriek : 소리를 지르다.

sop : 달래기 위한 작은 선물

sob : 흐느끼다.

queer : 기묘한, 괴상한

rifle :라이플 소총

specimen : 견본 , 샘플

stroke:타법

gaze up : 쳐다보다

snout : (돼지같은 동물의 )코

enchant : 황홀하게 만들다

alongside : 옆에, 나란히

barn :곳간, 헛간

harness : 마구, 벨트

1. 책 표지를 보고 어떻게 예측했나요?

제목이 샬롯의 거미줄이어서 거미가 주인공인가? 했었는데 윌버라는 돼지가 먼저 나왔네요~

펀과 동물친구들이 거미(샬롯으로 추정되는)를 바라보며 기쁘지도 ,슬프지도 않은 표정으로 보는 것 같습니다.

다만 동물친구들은 조금 두려워 하나 펀은 좀더 담대하게 바라보며 동물친구들을 지켜주려는 모습인거 같습니다.

 

2. 챕터의 제목을 번역해보기

3. 챕터 1. : 어떤일이 있었나요?

Last night, some pigs were born , but one of the pigs is a runt.

Fern stopped her father form killing the runt.

 

5. 챕터 2 : 윌버는 어떻게 되나요?

Fern’s father decided to send Wilber to Uncle Homer.

If Wilbur goes there to live, Fern can walk down the road and visit him as often as you like.

Wilbur was taken from his home under the apple tree and went to live in a manure pile in the cellar of Zuckerman’s barn.

 

6. 챕터 3 : 윌버의 탈출 소동장면을 묘사

Wilbure is trying to escape from the barn.

But he is yoo young to go out into the world alone.

 

 

9. 아이와 어떤 이야기를 나누실 것 같으신가요?

아이와 표지를 보고 어떤 내용이 펼쳐질 것인지 이야기를 나누겠습니다.

그리고 펀이 윌버를 생각 하는 마음과 부모님이 윌버를 대하는 마음에 대해서 비교해 보겠습니다.

단어 뜻을 한글로 써주시니 눈에 쏙쏙들어와요 ㅎ 9번 윌버에 대한 펀의 생각과 아빠의 생각이 참 다르죠.. 펀이 아빠의 생각에 동조?했다면 윌버는 어쩔번 했을까요? 생각만해도 아찔해요.. 미션수행 수고 많으셨습니다~^^^

1. <책 표지 소감에 대해서>

This is one of the English books that I really want to read to my kids later. In fact, before reading this book, I thought Charlotte was the name of the girl on the cover of the book. Nevertheless, the process of reading this without any information was exciting to me. And I always check the front and back covers before reading books. Because writers and illustrators use foreshadowing to introduce the reader the idea of incidents that become a main part of the story. I read below the text which 단단엄마 wrote. Each character has a different facial expression!  How about the back cover? What is symbol of "some pig" on the web. I am really looking forward to reading the next story^^

4. <wilbur를 보고 기억소환>

I raised many puppies when I was young and I do love animals^^ I remember when I went to my grandparents house. It was the place to raise pigs next door to my grandparents. A piglet was born in a pigpen and I fell in love it at first sight like Fern. My mom said that pig cannot be kept at home as pets. I was really sad and cried. I entirely understand Fern's actions in chapter 1. This book remind me of the piglet I saw as a child.


9. <7살 내 딸과 나누고 싶은 대화는?>

My sweetheart! You are going to elementary school next year. You will meet new friends in a new environment. And if you make friends, you will get to know what friendship is. Are you looking forward to next year because you have not met your true friend yet? What would you share with if you have a friend like Charlotte and wilbur.

1.책표지를 보고 어떻게 예측했나요?
Because of the name of Chalottles Web, i expected that is about the spider which is named as Chalottle. Also, I assumed it is written based on kids' point of view like beauty of purifying.


2. 챕터의 제목을 번역해 보기.
1. 소중한 친구가 생기다.

3. 챕터1
 It is about the little baby pig. Becuase of too young and weak, that pig should be killed as daddy inststed. However, Fern wanted to take care of that pig with lots of care. Fern is doing well enough to take care of the little pig.


4. 애완동물
Unfortunately, I haven't had any pet before. Also, I didn't have chance to raise the pet when i was young. Instead I want to tell about my kids lovely doll.  My kids have their own little cute penguin doll that is always be with them. My kids are sleeping with that penguin doll all the time. We named these doll before as a pang pang.


5. 챕터2
As wilber is growing up, it is hard to raise the wilber in the fern's house.
Fern's family decided to sent the pig to the Uncle Homer. Fern is sad to not to play with wilber anymore; but she could see wilber anytime if she want to.


6. 쳅터3
wilber is trying to escape from the barn. That is serious chaos. Other farm animals requested to wilber to do something for the escape such as running, turnig, and jumping.
The interesting point is that wilber is not willing to escape the barn seriously. Wilber is just followed that other animals said.


7. 챕터4
I have been thinking about what maked me feel groomy. Way back of my life in canada, i was really really sad when i was in my dorm which has full of darken light and little bit of smoky smells in it. Each of the starting period of the semester, i felt tiredness and no engery on my body because of absent mood of welcoming me. It is similar feeling of homesick.


8. 쳅터 5
Wilber met the new friend called as Chalottle, a spider. Wilber was full of excitement of meeting new friend before he didn't realize that is a spider. Later on, Wilber is shocked becasue of spier's habitat.
 
9. 어떤 이야기를 나눌것인가
It is the book about pig and spider. I could try to talk about the being a friend with animals. Also, i will ask my kids about how you are going to care or play with the friend of animals.
Here in this book, Wilber and spider have different style of life like eating food and suriving in the world. I would share my own opinion about how to treat the animals that have different life style. I would try to listen what my kids are thinking about accepting the law of nature.

specimen: A specimen of somthing is an example of it which gives an idea of what the whole of it is like

distribute: If you distribute things, you hand them or deliver them to a number of people.

prompt: this action is done without any delay

rubber: this is strong, waterproof, elastic substance made from the juice of tropical tree or produced chemically.

catch on: If you catch on to something, you understand it, or realize that it is happening

blissful: A blissful situation or peroid of time is one in which you are extremely happy.

blush: When you blush, your face becomes redder than usual because you are ashamed or embarrassed.

stroke: If you stroke someone or somethin' , you move your hand slowly and gently over them

grunt: When an animal grunts, it makes a low rough noise.

peer: when you look at somethin', you look at it very hard.

enchant: If you are enchant by someone or somethin' , they cause you to have feelings of great delight or pleasure.

tag along: If someone goes somewhere and you tag along, you go with them, especially when they have not asked you to.

wade: If you wade through somethin'  that makes it difficult to walk, usually water, mud, you walk through it.

amuse: does it amuse you? (=does it make you happy or fun, give a smile?)

weep: if you weep, they cry.

scrap: scaps are pices of unwanted food which are thrown away of given to amimals.

manure: sometimes with chemiclas, in order to make plants grow heathily and strong

sour : Someone who is sour is bad- tempered  and unfriendly. (ex: Don't be sour to your friends)

stealthy: Stealthy actions are performed quietly and carefully, so that no one will not notice what you are doing. (ex: you were staelthy while playing board game with me! keep the rule sonny!)

dejected: If you are dejected, you feel miserable or unhappy, especially because you have just been disappointed by something.


1. 책표지의 느낌.


모든 인물들이 샬롯을 바라보고 있는 그림은 매우 인상적입니다. 우리는 이 책을 통해, 진정한 친구와의 우정의 의미를 되새겨볼 수 있다고 생각합니다. 무언가를 간절히 원하는 윌버의 눈빛과, 샬롯이라는 작지만 위대한 친구를 바라보는 펀의 눈빛은 다르게 묘사되어 있지요. 중요한 것은 샬롯이 그들에게 미치는 선한 영향들입니다. 우리에게도 이런 작지만 용감한 친구가 있을지, 혹은 우리 자신이 누군가에게 그런 친구가 될수 있을지 생각케 하는 그림입니다...

3. 챕터 1의 내용:


 펀의 아버지는 작고 쓸모없는 아기돼지를 죽이려고 아침부터 농장에 나가있습니다. 펀의 말이 기억나네요.

 "But it's unfair. the pig couldn't help being born small, could it? If I had been very small at birth, Would you have killed me?... This is the most terrible case of injustice I ever heard of!"


1장에서 펀이라는 소녀의 따뜻하고 용감한 성격과, 앞으로, 이 아기돼지와의 우정이 어떻게 쌓여갈지를 상상하며 흐뭇하게 웃을 수 있었던 챕터였습니다.


4. 내게 기억에 남는 애완동물.


When i was a little girl, i was so afraid of dogs. by the way, one day After my dad got somethin at the old market and came back home, he called me out and gave an old board box, i could hear a little groan from the box in which was a dog. he was not a cute puppy but i felt pity such as sympahy at the first time ever, so i could get attached with him day by day, as the time goes by. I could no longer feel scared of pets like dogs because of him. and i could see the last day until he passed away.

it was greatul experience of my life... his name was carry.


9. 내 아이와 나누고 싶은 이야기.


 i wanna talk with my sonny about friends and friendship. The meaning of my son's name is "being a good friend like everyone wants to play with you when they wake up in the morning and think of you, as soon as the sun rises.

 

단우, 아침단, 벗우. he already knows about the story about  birth of his name, but... if i show him this beautiful story while reading beside him. he would love it. I surely trust it.

단어에서 책을 얼마나 꼼꼼하게 내것화해서 읽으셨는지 느껴지네요~~ 엄지척!입니당~~!! 1.책표지~단단님의 미션 댓글을 보고 표지를 다시보니 윌버와 펀의 눈빛이 정말 다르게 묘사되어있네요~~ 책은 한번볼때 두번볼때 세번볼때 다 다르게 보아지고 느껴진다하던데 저는 단단님의 댓글로 표지가다르게 보이네요~~ 단어포함 댓글 잘 읽었습니다~~ 미션수행 수고많으셨습니당~~!!

2.각 챕터 제목의 번역이 편안하고 따스하게 느껴져요~~ 9.제 아이들이 어렸을때 강아지 키우고 샆다고 엄청 졸랐던 적이 있었어요. 두아이다 동물을 무척 좋아했거든요. 어느날은 애완동움을 꼭 길러하 하는 이유 10가지 써서 안방문에 걸어놨더라구요. 애완동물 키우기는 아이들 정서에도 좋을것 같아요~~ 미션수행 수고 많으셨습니당~~!!

When I lived in the States, I used to have a pet named cloud is a malteese, but when I came back to Korea I gave to someone to take care of him. sometimes I missed him, but my friend who got adopt my dog wouldn't keep in touch with me anymore. So i have no idea about what happen to him.

Wilbur escaped from the barn when he figured out that one board was loose, so he pushed in and ran down. When people found out he escaped they tried to catch him meanwhile all the barn animal was bossed to Wilbur to what to do.
At last, Wilbur smelled food it made him appetizing, and then he stepped toward the pail even thougg other barn animal asked to reconsider.

7.비가 온 날 윌버의 계획은 무산되고 외로움에 젖게되네요.여러분은 어떨때 외로움을 느끼시나요?(4챕터)

I feel gloomy when it rains, also when my husband came home late and didn't help me, even though I am so tired of taking care of my child.

Wilber got a new friend who is fierce, brutal, scheming, bloodthirsty  but pretty and having a kind heart spider, named as Cahrlotte A. Cavatica

9.이번주 미션범위인 6챕터까지 읽으시고 아이들과 이야기를 나누신다면 어떤 이야기를 나누실 것 같으신가요?

Fern 은 착한 마음씨를 가진 아이야, 동물들을 사랑하고  Wilbur라는 아기돼지를 잘 보살펴지 비록 약하고 건강하지 못했지만 그런 Wilbur를 불쌍히 여기는 Fern처럼 너도 약하고 힘이 없는 사람이나 동물들은 도와주었으면 좋겠어
Wilbur는 동물농장에서 친구들을 만나게 되었는데 그 중에 charollte랑 거미랑 친구가 되었어 WIlbur는 처음에 challotter가 잔인하고 징그럽다고 생각했지만 곧 예쁘고 똑똑하고 마음이 따뜻하다고 좋은 점을 찾았단다.
맘에 들지 않는 친구가 있더라도 그 친구에게서 좋은 점을 찾아보길 바래
