1. It was a busy Saturday afternoon. Mom was pulled away from Father in the crowd, and the subway left as she tried to get her bearings.
They decide to make flyers and hand them out where Mom was last seen.
2. Her eyes were bloodshot, and beads of sweat dotted her forehead. Weighted with pain, her face was a miserable knot. Only some invisible malevolence could cause an expression like that.
Because then her head hurts so much it feels like it's going to explode.
