아이캔리드는 오디오가 있고, 캐릭터별로 스토리가 진행되는 스토리형 리더스입니다. 

아이캔리드 시리즈는 미국 초등과정에서 읽기 교재로 채택되어 쓰는 곳이 있을 정도로 인정받는 읽기책입니다. 

단계별로 구성이 되어 있어, 읽기를 처음 시작할 때 부터, 높은 단계까지 함께 볼 수 있습니다.

아이캔리드에는 다양한 장르와 다양한 캐릭터가 있어, 아이의 취향과 단계에 맞춰 볼 수 있다는 것이 큰 장점입니다.

칼데콧 상을 비롯한 다양한 수상 작가들의 글과 그림, 아이들이 열광했던 캐릭터들이 가득한 아이캔리드에서 아이에게 잘 맞는 읽기 교재를 찾으실 수 있습니다.

모리스 센닥이 그리고, Else Holmemund Minarik이 쓴 Little Bear가 처음 아이캔리드 시리즈로 출판되어, 지금까지도 다른 아이캔리드 시리즈들과 함께 사랑받고 있습니다.

지금은 200여편이 넘는 시리즈가 나와 아이들의 읽기에 큰 받침대 역할을 합니다. 

아이캔리드는 총 5단계로 구성되었고, 단계표의 색깔만 보고도 몇 단계인지 확인이 가능합니다.

읽기를 소개하는 단계입니다.

책과 읽기의 특징을 가진, 짧고 단순한 문장의 책으로 읽기의 첫 단계를 배웁니다. 

모든 책은 컬러로 되어 있어 그림책 같으니, 읽기의 시작로 매우 적합합니다.

기초 영어와 단어의 반복으로 읽기 연습에 좋고, 엉뚱하고 기발한 일러스트로 아이들의 호기심을 자극합니다. 읽기를 처음 시작하는 아이들과 함께 읽기에 좋습니다. 읽기 연습의 첫 단계로 아이들에게 따라 읽어 보도록 하기에도 좋습니다.
