오늘은 42개월된 아들 상민이와 같이 Blue sea ( written by Robert Kalan , illustrated by Donald Crews) 책에 대해 공부하기로 마음을 먹었습니다. 이 책이 좋다는 얘기를 많이 들어서 오래전부터 읽어주고 싶어서 사긴 샀는데 생각처럼 아들냄이가 좋아해 주지 않고 시큰둥해서 나름 고민 꽤 하고 교구를 제작(?)했습니다.
1) Before reading
책에 들어가기 전에 우리 상민이가 가장 좋아하는 spider를 이용하여 big과 little 에 대한 개념을 다시 정리하는 기분으로 eensy-weensy spider 노래에 맞추어서 little spider와 big spider 두개를 만들어서 노래를 불러주며 big 과 little 을 비교해 주었습니다.
eensy weensy spider ( big big spider)
went up the water spout
down came the rain and wash the spider out
out came the rain and dry up all the rain
eensy weensy spider went up the spout again.
이때 spider는 낚시줄로 달아서 아래위로 움직일 수 있게 했구요,, 비와 해 역시 낚시줄로 뒤로 이어서 비가 올때는 비로, 날이 개어서 해가 뜨면 다시 해로 바뀔 수 있게 했습니다.
2) story telling
there are big ~~ blue sea.
look at this! what a little yellow fish in the big blue sea! what is he doing? he is swimming in the sea.
rararara~~ Suddenly, the very hungry big fish appeared . He is looking for something to eat.
Big fish says, " I am so hungry . I will eat you , I will catch you" .
Oh no, Little fish is so scared. 상민, please say to little fish ' Swim little fish! Big fish will catch you'
Little fish swim and big fish is chasing after him. But just then, bigger fish appeared. Bigger fish is also very hungry .
bigger fish says," I am so hungry , I will eat you , I will catch you"
상민, what can you say to little fish and big fish? Yes, swim little fish , swim big fish.
So both of them swim away. But just then, biggest fish appreared. The biggest fish is very hungry.
The biggest fish says. " I will eat you , I will catch all of you right now"
상민, please say to all of them " swim everyone swim!!"
Suddenly little fish has a good idea. " Wow I found out the small hole, I can swim through the small hole, nobody can catch me" and he go through the small hole,Big fish says. " I can go through the small hole easily" , Bigger fish says," I can do it, too" But the biggest fish can't go through the small hole. " Ouch!!!!"
이런식으로 다시 little fish는 smaller hole을 통과하고 smallest hole을 통과하면서 bigger fish와 big fish를 따돌리고 혼자 살아남게 됩니다.
Little fish says," I can do it . you can't catch me. I like to swim in the blue sea again. wow"

3. After reading
BLUE SEA는 COLOR와 SIZE 중 특히 비교급 최상급을 다루고 있는 책이라서 fish를 4가지로 만들었습니다. little fish, big,bigger and biggest fish로 그리고 hole또한 small hole, smaller hole and smallest hole이렇게 3가지를 만들어서 각각의 fish 뒤에 자석을 붙여서 blue sea위를 떠다니게 하다가 한마리씩 HOLE에 걸려서 SPLASH하게 만듭니다. 결국 LITTLE FISH만 살아남게 되죠..
저희 아들 껌벅갑니다. 너무 좋아서 ^^ 이책을 너무 좋아하게 되었어요..
입에서 BIG BIGGER BIGGEST LITTLE FISH 랑 SMALL, SMALLER, SMALLEST HOLE이라는 단어가 술술 나오네요 .. 역시 애들에겐 잘만든 교구가 책보다 나을 때 도 많습니다. ^^;;
일주일을 이 책과 교구만 가지고 놀다가 이제는 좀 지겨워 하네요 ㅋㅋ
아무리 해도 동영상이 올라가질 않아서 자세히 보여드리지 못해서 아쉽네요
