Donkey’s Pride
Once upon a time, there was a donkey.
One day, he went to a town with a statue of the king on his back.
The villagers bowed and showed respect to the statue as they passed by the donkey.
But the donkey thought the people were bowing to him. He became so proud of himself and thought that there was no need for him to work so hard carrying the heavy statue. He slowed down and later, refused to move forward
The donkey’s owner laughed and slapped him hard. “Hey, it is the statue on your back that people are bowing to and showing respect. Now, keep going.”
