Titch의 스토리텔링입니다.
책을 한번 읽어준 다음 종이인형을 이용해서 책내용을 한번 더
반복해주는 효과가 있을 것 같아서 제나름대로 한번 해 보았습니다.
전에 서점에서 보니깐 우리말로 번역되어서 출판되어 있기도 하더군요.
우선 내용은 다음과 같습니다.
(1) Titch was little.
His sister Mary was a bit bigger.
And his brother Pete was a lot bigger.
(2) Pete had a great big bike.
Mary had a big bike.
And Titch had a little tricycle.
(3) Pete had a kite that flew high above the trees.
Mary had a kite that flew high above the houses.
And Titch had a pinwheel that he held in his hand.
(4) Pete had a big drum.
Mary had a trumpet.
And Titch had a little wooden whistle.
(5) Pete had a big saw.
Mary had a big hammer.
And Titch held the nails.
(6) Pete had a big spade.
Mary had a fat flowerpot.
But Titch had the tiny seed.
And Titch's seed grew and grew and grew.
이렇게 한번 읽어준 다음 종이인형을 꺼냅니다.
1. 두꺼운 종이에 Titch, Mary, Pete 인형을 그려서 (손을 그립니다.) 색칠한 다음 오려둡니다.
물론 크기는 Titch〈 Mary 〈 Pete 순이겠죠?
인형 각각마다 뒷면과 한 손에 찍찍이를 붙여둡니다.
우선 인형을 하나씩 보여주면서
Let me introduce myself. My name is Titch. Nice to meet you.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Mary. I'm Titch's elder sister. Nice to meet you.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Pete. I'm Titch's elder brother. Nice to meet you.
라고 인사를 합니다.
그 다음 그림(1)의 내용을 말해줍니다.
2. 자전거를 큰, 중간, 작은 크기대로 그린다음 찍찍이를 중간에 붙입니다.
우선 자전거를 보여주면서
This is a great big bike.
This is a big bike.
This is a little tricycle.
라고 말합니다.
그 다음 Pete에게 큰 자전거에 붙이면서
(2)번의 내용을 말합니다.
3. 스케치북에 집과 나무그림을 그려서 색칠해 둡니다. (인형들을 붙일 자리에 찍찍이를 붙여 둡니다.)
또 높이나는 연과 중간쯤 나는 연, 그리고 바람개비도 그려서 찍찍이를 붙입니다.
Pete의 손에 높이나는 연을 붙이면서 그림의 찍찍이에 붙입니다.
그러면서 (3)의 내용을 말해줍니다.
4. Drum, Trumpet, Whistle을 그려서 찍찍이를 붙인다음 인형의 손에 붙이면서 (4)의 그림내용을 말해줍니다.
5. Saw, Hammer, Nail도 같은 요령으로 합니다.
6. Spade, Flowerpot, Seed도 같은 요령으로 합니다.
단, flowerpot는 종이컵에 색종이를 붙여서 화분처럼 만듭니다.
또, 나뭇잎이 무성한 나뭇가지를 그려서 나무젓가락에 붙인 다음 종이컵에 숨겨둡니다.
즉 종이컵 바닥에 구멍을 뚫어서 나무젓가락은 밖으로 나오게 하고
나뭇가지는 정면에서 보았을 때 안보이도록 만듭니다.
그래서 Titch가 seed를 그 종이컵에 넣게 한 다음
나무젓가락을 조금씩 올리면서 이렇게 말하는 겁니다.
Titch's seed grew and grew and grew.
