¢¿ Walk in the Woods
Written by Keith B.Shaw
Illustrated by Dick Strandberg
We went to the woods
One day last fall.
We went to the woods
And this is what I saw¡¦¡¦.
I saw¡¦
ONE lazy caterpillar
Ling on some leaves.
I saw¡¦
TWO flitting butterflies
Floating on the breeze.
I saw¡¦
THREE swift fish
Swimming in the stream.
I saw¡¦
FOUR fat frogs
Trying not to be seen.
I saw¡¦
FIVE busy ladybugs
Merrily on their way.
I saw¡¦
SIX plump acorns
Saved for a rainy day.
I saw¡¦
SEVEN noisy blackbirds
Squawking in a field.
I saw¡¦
EIGHT delicious berries,
And ate a yummy meal.
I saw¡¦
NINE fine flowers
Blooming on a vine.
I saw¡¦.
TEN marching ants
Steppingn perfect time.
saw¡¦.
ELEVEN tired turtles
Sleeping on a stone.
I saw¡¦.
TWELVE tired kids
Ready to go home.
We went to the woods
One day last fall.
We went to the woods
And that is what I saw.
