Speakers Tour comes to Korea
Teachers interested in providing more effective
listening and speaking lessons for their students will
certainly find much of interest in this presentation.
Jack C. Richards, a leading applied linguist and
teacher educator, will provide insight into the nature
of speaking skills and the core components of
conversational management strategies. Principles
for an effective conversation class will also be
presented. These will be illustrated with examples
from Springboard, New Person to Person, Tactics
for Listening, and Listen for It. Professor Richards in
currently professor of applied linguistics at the
Regional Language Center, Singapore, and has held
senior positions in universities in Hong Kong, New
Zealand, and the USA.
