지난 시간에는 문장의 종류에 따른 문장부호 사용에 대해 알아보았습니다.
Let's review!
A telling sentence tells about someone or something.
And it ends with a period.
An asking sentence asks a question.
It ends with a question mark.
An exclmatory sentence shows strong feelings.
It ends with an exclmation point.
문장을 쓰다 보면 이것은 대문자로 시작해야해~ 하는 부분이 있지요?
중학교때 영어 선생님께서 "서양사람들은 자신을 매우 중요하게 생각하기 때문에 "I"는 항상 대문자로 쓴단다" 하는 말이 기억이 나네요.
I뿐만 아니라, 고유 명사라던가, 달과 요일의 명칭 등 영문장에서 꼭 대문자로 시작해야 하는 단어들!

 | 1. There are four rules that you should follow.
1. Use a capital letter at the beginning of each sentence.
2. Use a capital letter for the word “I”
3. Use a capital letter at the beginning of special names.
4. Use a capital letter when you write the days of the week,
months of the year, and special holidays.
1. 문장은 항상 대문자로 시작한다.
2. "I"는 항상 대문자로 표시한다.
3. 고유명사는 항상 대문자로 시작한다.
4. 요일, 월, 특별한 날은 대문자로 시작한다. 습관처럼 사용하고는 있지만 아이들에게 설명할 때는 딱히 어떤때라고 정리해서 나오기가 쉽지 않지요?
또 고유명사를 어떻게 말로 풀어주어야 할지....

Some nouns are special names of people, animals or places.
Special names always begin with a capital letter.
특정한 사람, 동물(사물)이나 장소의 이름을 고유명사라 합니다.
고유명사는 항상 대문자로 시작합니다.
