À̹ø Outdoor School ProgramÀº ÀúÇгâµéÀ» À§ÇÑ °ÍÀ¸·Î, ±× ÃëÁö°¡ Community and EnvironmentÀÇ °³³äÀ» ±³À°ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. 2¹Ú 3ÀÏÀÇ ±â°£µ¿¾È ÀÚ¿¬¼Ó¿¡¼­ ÀÚ¿¬°ú Àΰ£°úÀÇ ¿øÃÊÀûÀÎ °ü°è¸¦ °æÇèÇÏ°í ¹è¿ì´Â ¾ÆÁÖ ÀǹÌÀÖ´Â ÇÁ·Î±×·¥ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¶ÇÇÑ, ºÎ¸ð¸¦ ¶°³ª Ä£±¸,¼±»ý´Ô, ¸®´õµé°ú ÇÔ²² »ýȰÇϸ鼭 ÀÚ¿¬½º·´°Ô »çȸ¼ºµµ ¹è¿ì°Ô µÇ±¸¿ä.



°£´ÜÇÏ°Ô ÀÌ ÇÁ·Î±×·¥¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ¿ä¾àÀ» Àû¾îº¼°Ô¿ä.



Central to the primary grade programs at North Vancouver Outdoor School are the concepts of COMMUNITY and ENVIRONMENT. Throughout the three days, activities are planned which work together to promote awareness of those concepts. The subjects taught at Outdoor School emphasize and enhance the material students explored in their schools, and provide a basis for furthur study when they return to their classrooms.



While students spend three days at Outdoor School, they will have an opportunity to learn from hands-on experiences. In small groups, they learn about topics such as: stream and forest ecology, farm management, salmon enhancement, wildlife conservation and basic survival.



In daily afternoon special interest periods, students enjoy exploring, nature games and crafts. These activities are supervised by the recreation director and trained counsellors who make certain a high safety standard is maintained. Evening programs may include a night time senses walk, or singing in the covered campfire area.



Living with other students and staff members helps develop social skills, and encourages students to be more independent.
