Let's do an experiment today.
Here in Junior Pumpkin Science Ville,
we're gonna do an experiment about the air.
And we'll find out where we can find the air.

Take out a piece of paper and blow it.
What do you think moved the paper?
The air that came out of my mouth made it move.

OK. Let's start the experiment.

What we need is all here.
Here we have a straw, a styrofoam ball, whale sticker, and scissors.
This is what we need.

First you have to cut top of the straw.
Cut the top of the straw into four pieces.
One, two, three, four.
And fold it outside like this.
Here's the whale sticker.
Now put the straw on the sticky side of the whale sticker.
Now fold it in half.

Now place the styrofoam ball on top of the straw like this.
Now blow into the straw.

Did you see the ball bouncing up in the air?
What made it bounce into the air?
The air that you blew into the straw pushed the ball up in the air.

 

wind : air that moves quickly.
a whale : a very large animal that lives in the sea.
blow : sending out a stream of air from your mouth
