재료INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
(녹이지 않은 버터를 말합니다.녹인 버터는 보통 softened butter라고 합니다)
3/4 cup brown sugar(우리도 황설탕이라고 하지요?)
2 eggs
1/2 cup molasses(시럽이나 물엿등의 당밀입니다)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
(제빵상가등에서 파는데요..바닐라 엣센스 정도입니다)
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
(다목적용이라면 그냥 중력분을 말합니다..실은 박력분이 쿠키에는 더 적합한데요..)
1 tbsp. cinnamon(계피가루입니다)
1 tsp. ginger(제과용으로 생각가루를 말합니다)
1 tsp. baking soda
(베이킹 파우더와 베이킹 소다는 다릅니다!!!!
베이킹 파우더는 아래 위로 부풀구요,베이킹 소다는 옆으로 퍼집니다.★)
1/2 tsp. salt
만들기
Step 1
In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar.
Beat in the eggs one at a time.
Mix in the molasses and the vanilla extract.
Step 2
In another bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
Then add the flour mixture to the butter mixture a little at a time, stirring well each time.
Cover the dough and chill for at least 2 hours.
Step 3
Heat the oven to 180-200 degrees.
On a floured surface, roll the dough flat to a 0.8-1cm thickness.
Now your kids can cut out large letters with a butter knife.
Step 4
With a spatula,
set the letters on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake for about 10 minutes or until the cookies are set.
Yield varies depending on the size of the letters.

Let's make some alphabet shaped cookies.
알파벳 모양 쿠키 만들자.
We need some flour, eggs, butter,sugar....to make cookies.
쿠키를 만드려면 밀가루, 달걀, 버터,설탕 등이 필요해.
You mix ingredients up.
재료들을 섞어주고.

거품기로 버터를 부드럽게 저어주고.
Then add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
그리고나서 밀가루 반죽이랑 버터랑 섞어주렴.
Wow, now the dough is all ready.
와, 반죽 다 되었다.
Preheat the oven.
오븐을 예열해두고

이제 모양 만들자.
