A Donkey and its Buyer
A man wanted to buy a donkey. So, he went to a market to buy a donkey. There were many donkeys in the market, but he chose the best looking donkey.
The owner of the market allowed the man to take the best looking donkey on trial to see what it was like. The man was happy to be allowed to do so.
When the man reached home with the donkey, he put him into the stable where other donkeys were staying.
The man said, ¡°Go and stay wherever you like.¡± The donkey took a look around and immediately went to the place right next to the laziest and greediest donkey in the stable. When the man saw this, he took the donkey back to the owner of the market where the donkey previously was.
The owner asked, ¡°Why did you bring the donkey back so soon? You were supposed to have it at your stable for a day.¡± The man replied, ¡°I don¡¯t want to have him at my stable any more for more tests. I could see what sort of donkey it was from the companion he chose for himself.¡±
The owner had to take his donkey back.
A man is known by the company he keeps.
