초등학교 1학년인 둘째 아이가 학교에서 몇명이 그룹을 짜서 Puppet Show를 했다. 종이봉지(Brown lunch bag)을 이용해서 자기가 맡은 역할의 동물을 Puppet으로 만들었다. 우리 아이가 맡은 역할은 porcupine(고슴도치).
학교에서 뿐 아니라 집에서도 친구들하고 함께 연습해보면 좋을것 같다.
Bamboo Mystery
Hermit Crab : Where is the bamboo?
Tiger : I think I saw some men here yesterday.
Porcupine : I was in the trees yesterday. I saw some people chop it down.
Tiger : And I saw them drive away in a big trunk.
Hermit Crab : Oh my! We have a Bamboo Mystery!
Panda enters to eat her bamboo.
Panda : Where did the bamboo go and why is everyone standing around?
Porcupine : When the truck drove away I saw a sign and it had some words on it.
Tiger : And the letters spelled W-A-L-M-A-R-T. I wonder why the truck would have those letters on it?
Panda : I don’t know, but I have a smart friend who lives in the city. We should go see her.
Hermit Crab, Tiger, and Porcupine : Okay! Let’s go!
Panda : Come with me, this way.
Puppy : Hi! friend Panda.
Panda : Hi! Puppy. This is porcupine, tiger and hermit crab. Meet Puppy.
Puppy : Hi, Tiger, Porcupine and Hermit Crab.
Hermit Crab : We saw a truck with the letters. W-A-L-M-A-R-T on it.
Porcupine : Do you know what that spells?
Puppy : Why do you want to know?
Tiger : Because we want to find Panda’s missing bamboo. We think someone stole it and put it in a truck with those letters on it.
Puppy : It spells Walmart.
Panda : What’s Walmart?
Puppy : It is a kind of store.
Hermit Crab : I bet the men are going to sell it at the store.
Tiger : We should go to the store.
Porcupine : Where is it?
Puppy : Follow me. I’ll show you.
Porcupine : Let’s sneak in and see if they have Panda’s bamboo.
Hermit Crab : Look! I think I see the bamboo.
Tiger : Let’s go get the bamboo. But we must go quickly or the alarm will go off.
Panda : Thank you for getting my bamboo back!
대나무 미스테리
Hermit Crab : 대나무가 어디로 갔지?
Tiger : 어제 어떤 사람들이 여기 있는걸 봤어.
Porcupine : 어제 내가 나무위에서, 대나무를 베는것을 봤어.
Tiger : 그리고 그 사람들이 큰 트럭에 넣어서 가버리는걸 봤어.
Hermit Crab : 어쩜좋아, 대나무를 찾아야해(대나무 미스테리를 풀어야해!)
이때 판다가 대나무를 먹으러 들어온다.
Panda : 내 대나무는 어디로 갔지? 그리고 왜 다들 이렇게 서 있는거야?
Porcupine : 그 트럭이 갈때 트럭에 뭔가 싸인같은게 있었는데 트럭에 글씨가 써 있었던것 가애.
Tiger : 그 글씨들은 W-A-L-M-A-R-T 였었어. 왜 그 트럭에 그런 글씨들이 있었을까?
Panda : 나도 잘 모르겠어. 내 친구중에 도시에 사는데 아주 똑똑한 친구가 있거든? 그 친구한테 가서 물어보자.
Hermit Crab, Tiger, and Porcupine : 그래 좋아, 가자!
Panda : 날 따라와 이쪽이야..
Puppy 판다야 안녕~
Panda : 퍼피야 안녕. 예들은 porcupine, tiger 그리고 hermit crab이야. 퍼피와 인사해 얘들아.
Puppy 안녕 Tiger, Porcupine, Hermit Crab.
Hermit Crab : 우리가 W-A-L-M-A-R-T 라고 쓰여있는 트럭을 봤거든?
Porcupine : 그게 무슨 글씨인줄 아니?
Puppy : 근데 왜 알아야 하는데?
Tiger : 왜냐하면 판다의 대나무를 찾아주고 싶어서 그래. 우리가 보기엔 어떤 사람들이 그걸 훔쳐서 그 글자가 쓰여진 트럭에 넣은것 같거든.
Puppy : 그건 월마트 라고 써 있는건데.
Panda : 월마트가 뭐지?
Puppy : 월마트는 가게 이름이야.
Hermit Crab : 그 사람들이 가져다가 팔려는게 확실해.
Tiger : 그럼 가게로 가 봐야겠다..
Porcupine : 그런데 그 가게는 어디있지?
Puppy : 날 따라와 내가 알려줄께..
Porcupine : 몰래 들어가서 판다의 대나무가 있는지 보자
Hermit Crab : 저기봐! 그 대나무가 있는것 같애.
Tiger : 가서 대나무를 가져오자. 그런데 굉장히 재빠르게 해야지 안그러면 알람이 켜질꺼야..
Panda : 내 대나무를 다시 찾아줘서 고마워 친구들아~
