8-Year-Old World Art star

Kieron Williamson, an eight-year-old painter from Britain, has become the country¡¯s hottest artist. He is called ¡®mini Monet¡¯ by the British press and is now a global sensation.

His paintings¡¯ popularity is increasing so fast. All of the paintings in his latest exhibition were sold for a total of 150,000 pounds within half an hour.

Buyers from as far away as the United States lined up overnight outside the gallery. Moreover, there are about 3,000 people on the list who are waiting for his new works.

Kieron already has a personal website and a business card. A lot of his fans approach him at the gallery and journalists from around the world visit his town to interview him.

¡±It was uncomfortable when unknown people recognized me in the streets and galleries. But, I¡¯m used to it now,¡± he answered when asked about the attention from people.

¡±We are surprised by his artistic talent since I and my husband don¡¯t paint. But I¡¯m really happy since Kieron loves art and we¡¯ll keep supporting him,¡± said his mother.
