조금 어렵다 싶을 수도 있지만
처음 부터 이런 방법으로 접근하면 아이들은 생각보다 쉽게 잘 받아 들입니다.
하나만 주고 하나를 밷어 내라고 하는 방법보다
많이 주고 자연스럽게 스며들게 하는 것~!
그게 바른 방법이 아닐까 싶네요.

Act1) What is a family?
1) pg. 2-3 사진을 보며 그들이 누구인지 알아봅니다.
Look at the pictures on page2 and 3.
Who do you think they are?
Yes, you are right. These are pictures of families.
One of each picture shows a family.
2) 가족이 무엇이냐고 물으면 가족의 구성원들을 먼저 떠올립니다.
가족 구성원을 설명하는 단어들로 몇 가지 질문을 통해 가족의 개념을 세워 봅니다. 가족에 관한 개념은 간단히 한가지로 정리 하기 힘들므로 여러 가지 생각을 말 할 수 있도록 도와 줍니다.
What is a family?
Yes, they are all family members.
Family is the people. Family is a group of persons bound with blood.
3) 함께 정리한 가족의 개념을 말 해 봅니다.
Does your mother love and take care of you?
Do your father and brother live with you?
Very good. This question ‘s for you.
Do you love and take care of them, too? Good.
Let’s make a sentence about what a family is.
Family is the people who live together and take care of each other and they love. Let’s read this sentence all together.
Act2) Who are the family members?
1) 사진을 보고 가족구성원이 몇 명인지 확인 해보고 집집 마다 다른 구성원이 있음을 인지 시킵니다.
Now would you like to look at the first picture on page 2?
How many family members are there? Good.
There are five family members on that picture.
What about the picture on the bottom?
Yes, they are seven family members.
2) 사진을 짚어가며 인물 하나 하나의 특징 을 잡아 그들이 누구인지를 물어보고, 기본적 질문 방법들을 토대로 질문하고 대답 하도록 유도 해 봅니다.
This time, let’s see who are they.
I’ll ask some questions.
First, who is this lady in purplish red suit? Very good.
She’s a mother. (Point out to father & ask)
Is he a brother?
O.K, if you don’t think he’s a brother, who do you think he is then?
Very good. The man in brown suit is a father.
Look at the old woman in white jacket and with glasses standing by the father, who is she?
Yes, you’re right. She’s a grandma
3) 가족 구성원에 대해 충분한 이해를 토대로 사진을 보고 그 안에 어떤 가족들이 있는지 정리한 내용을 다 함께 읽어 봅니다.
참고) 예를 들어 두 번째 그림에서는 다음과 같은 단어들로 질문 할 수 있습니다
Who are the family members on this picture?

The family members are a grandmother, father, mother, brother and sister.
Act3) Family counting and naming
1) 가족 사진이나 그림을 가지고 가족 수는 어떻게 되는지 그리고 가족 구성원으로는 누가 있는지에 대해 말 해 봅니다.
Would you like to tell us about our family with this picture?
This is a picture of my family.
This is my mother, father, brother and myself.
He’s my younger brother.
One, two, three, and four.This is Jane’s family.
Very good. Is your brother younger or older?
O.K. He has a younger brother.
How many family members does he have?
Let’s all count together.
Yes, he has four family members.
Excellent, thank you! You did a good job.
2) 준비한 사진을 보고 함께 정리하여 쓰고, 크게 소리 내어 읽어봅니다.
Do you want to tell us about your family?
Stand up and speak-out please.
This is my family.
There are a grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, baby brother and me. They are six family members.

> 가족을 소개하고이야기하고 그려볼수 있구요,가족의 역할 가족과 함께 할수 있는일을 이야기하고,성장에 대한 이야기도 나누고, 이에 대한 시도 익혀보고, little gorilla( 프뢰벨의 테마동화에포함된 책) 라는 성장에 관한 이야기도 실려있어요.또 노래나 챈트도 들어 있구요.그리고나서 모든 것이 끝나면 배웠던 것들을 확인학습 할수 있도록 되어 있어요. 여기에 activity book이 있는네 문법적인 것이나 수학, 독해등등 여러가지 활동을 할수 있게 구성되어 있답니다.
> 저희 아들들은 노래나 챈트, 이야기 시가 들어 있는 오디오 테입을 무척 좋아하는데 짧지만 참 좋아요.각 권당 8개의 테입이 세트구성 되어있답니다.
> 아이가 4학년이면 2단계나 3단계부터 하셔도 좋을듯 싶네요.
> 가까운 영어서점에서 보시고 결정하시길 바래요.
> 각단계가 각 학년이라고 생각하심 좋을듯 싶네요. 그럼 많은 도움 되셨길 바래요.
