They celebrate their birthdays together. 

Read to find out what they do at the party.  

Look for the word ¡°Danny¡¯s¡± in the story.  

Danny¡¯s friends means that Danny has the friends.  

Danny¡¯s book means that Danny owns the book. 

Add  ¡®s  to a name or thing to show ownership.

        For example:

          mother             hat      >              mother¡¯s hat

          dinosaur           tail      >             dinosaur¡¯s tail

There are many ways to celebrate birthdays.  

In the United States, when a baby is born, we begin counting months. 

Then when a baby is 12 months old, we celebrate the first birthday. 

Think about the different things people do when they have a birthday.
