Hi guys! It¡¯s Kevin bringing you our ninth book of our series: The Emperor¡¯s New Clothes. I

hope you all had a fantastic week! I had a Halloween party at my house yesterday and it was

pretty fun. My friends and I ate a lot of candy and food. We all dressed up, and it was really fun

to see everyone in their costumes!

The Emperor¡¯s New Clothes is about an emperor who needs a new outfit for the royal

procession. He is in a hurry and needs it fast! He finds two men who say they will make magic

clothes that only clever people can see. I wonder what it¡¯s going to look like... Let¡¯s read it and

find out!

The homework this week also has a total of three easy steps.

1. The first step is to read The Emperor¡¯s New Clothes. Try to read it at least two times,

once out loud and once in your head.

2. Next, fill out the worksheet we posted. The worksheet has five parts. There is a

vocabulary, multiple choice, simple question, short answer, and a creativity section.

Make sure to go back to the book when finding some of the answers. The pictures may

help you remember what happened.

3. Take a picture of your worksheet and upload it.

The creative section this week is about drawing your own magic clothes. Make sure you draw

clothes that an emperor would wear.

It¡¯s been a really entertaining week, but my friends and I have to go back to school tomorrow. I
