Hello from the United States! As youmay know, the Olympics are going on right now and I¡¯ve been enjoying watchingall the different countries compete against each other. South Korea won gold inArchery!! Very impressive! I¡¯m glad to see that the United States is doing wellin the Olympics as well. Ah..well our summer vacation is almost at its endunfortunately. We will be going back to school soon. :(

This final book in our series isabout the X-Men. There are many different heroes that are part of the X-Men andthey are known as mutants. This book will take you into the story of the X-Menand show you all of the amazing powers they possess and use for the better ofhumanity.

Anyway, have fun reading this greatbook, and the homework instructions are still the same.

1. The first step is to read the book.Try to read it at least two times, once out loud and once in your head. You canalso use the provided CD¡¯s for the books that have them and listen to thespeaker read the book out loud to you.

2. Next, fill out the worksheet we posted. The worksheet hasfive parts. There is a vocabulary, multiple choice, short answer, application,and a creativity section. Make sure to go back to the book when finding some ofthe answers. The pictures may help you remember what happened.

3. Take a picture of your worksheet andupload it.

Withthis novel we have finally ended our hard but fun journey together! We reallyhope you guys had as much fun as we did from Champaign.
