많이 아이들이 좋아한다고 하여 추천받은 주니비존스지요.
워낙 노는게 바쁜지라 조금씩만 할까하고 챙겨놓은지가 몇주 되었던것 같습니다.
듣기에 적당한 빠르기라 좋은 것 같은데 이 책은 그리 아이와 맞진 않나 봅니다.
성격이 저희아이와 극과 극이여서 그런지 몰라도 공감대 형성이 이루어 지지 않아서 그런 것 같아
성격에 대한 설명이 약간?은 필요했습니다.
프린세스퍼피보다는 좀..반응이 약합니다. 좀 더 진행해 보려고 합니다.
내용해설.

<주니 B. 존스와 멍청하고 냄새나는 버스.>
1/Meeting Mrs.
My name is Junie B. Jones. the B stands for Beatrice.
내이름은 Junie B. Jones 이지. B는 Beatrice의 약자야.
Except I don't like Betrice.
난 그냥 Betrice 라는 이름을싫어해.
I just like B and that's all.
난 그냥 B가 맘에들어.
I'm almost six years old.
나는 거의 6살이야.
Almost six is when you get to go to kindergarten.
거의 6살쯤되면 유치원에 갈 나이지.
kindergarten is where you go to meet new friends and not watch TV
유치원은 새친구를 만나고 텔레비전을 볼수 없는곳이야.
My kindergerten is the afternoon kind
내 유치원은 오후에하지.
Today was my first day of school.
오늘은 유치원에 가는 첫날이야.
I'd been to my room before, though.
하지만 한번 가봤지.
Last week mother took me there to meet my teacher.
저번주에 우리 어머니가 선생님을 만나기 위해서 데리고 갔어.

It was called Meet the Teacher Day.
그날은 '선생님을 만나는날'이 었어.
My teacher was decorating the bulletin board with the letters of the alphabet.
나의 선생님은 게시판을 알파벳으로 꾸미는고 있었지.
"I already know all of those letters,"I said. "I can sing them. Excepet I don't feel
like it right now."
"나는 저 글자들을 알아" 난 말했다. "나는 그글자들을 노래로 부를수 있어. 하지만, 지금 부르고싶지 않다는것뿐.."
My teacher shook my hand.
나의 선생님은 나와 악수했어.
Only our hands didn't fit together that good.
하지만, 서로의 손은 맞지가 안았지.
Her name was Mrs. -Ican't remember the rest of it Mrs. said "that's because I have
on my new shoes."
그녀의이름은 미세스....- 난 마지막부분이 기억이않나. 미세스는 "그이유는 나의 신발이 새것이라서그래.."
I held my foot way high in the air.
나는 내 발을 공중으로 뻣었다.
"See how shiny they are ? Before I put them on I licked them.
"얼마나 반짝거리는지 보이지? 나는 내가 신발을 신기전에 신발을 햝아"
"And guess what else?" I said.
"그리고 이것도알아?"나는 말했다.
"This is my bestest hat grampa Miller bought it forme.
See the devil horns sticking out the side?"
이것은 나의 최고의 모자 할아버지 밀러가 날위해 사다주신거야. 신발에 악마의 뿔이 나있는거보이지?
Mrs. laughed. Except i don't know why.
미세스는 웃었다. 하지만 난 그이유를 알수 없었다.
Devil horns are supposed to be scary.
악마의 뿔들은 무서워야할텐데...
Then we walked aroun the room and she showed me where stuff was.
그리고 우리는 방을 걸었다. 그녀는 방에 물건들이 어디있는지 보여줬다.
Like the easels where we get to paint. And the shelves where we sit and don't watch TV.
우리가 물감으로 칠할때 사용하는 받침틀 같은것들. 그리고 우리가 앉을수 있는책장, 티비가 볼수 없는곳.
One of the tables in the front of the room had a red chair.
방앞에있는 책상은 빨간 의자를 가지고 있었다.
"Iwould like to sit here, I think," I told her. But Mrs. said, "We'll have to wait and see, Junie"
나는 여기에 앉고싶어, 내생각에.." 나는 그녀에게 말했다. 그러나 미세스는 말했다" 우리는 여기서 기다려야해, 주니"
"B!"I said. "call me Junie B.!"
"B"내가 말했다. "날 주니 B.라고 불러줘!"
I hollered the B part real loud. So she wouldn't forget it.
난 B를 정말 큰소리로 외쳣다. 왜냐하면 그녀가 까먹지 않도록 말이다.
People are always forgetting my B .
사람들은 나의 B에대해 언제나 까먹는다.
Mother rolled her eyes and looked at the ceiling.
내 어머니는 눈을 돌리며 천장 처다보았다.
I looked up there, too.
나도 같이 봤다.
But I didn't see any thing.
하지만 거기에는 아무것도 있지 않았다.
"Are you going to ride the bus, Junie B?"
"너 버스 탈거니, 주니 B?"
Mrs.asked me.
미세스는 나에게 물었다.
I made my shoulders go up and down.
그녀는 나의 어깨를 위로아래로 왔다갔다하게 만들었다.
"I don't know. Where's it goin to?"
잘 모르겠어요. 어디로가나요?
My mother nodded her head and said,
"Yes, she'll be riding the bus."
내 어머니는 끄덕이면서 말했다."그래, 주니는 버스를 타고 갈거야."
That made me feel scary inside. 'Cause I never rided on a bus before.
"Yeah, only where's it goin' to?" I asked again.
그말은 날 무섭게만들었다, 이유는 난 한번도 버스를 타본적이없어서 였다.
"알았어요, 그런데 어디로가는거죠?" 난 한번더 물었다.
Mrs. sat on her desk.
미세스는 그녀의 책상에 앉았다.
Then she and my mother talked more about the bus.
그리고 그녀는 나의 어머니와 함께 버스에대해 더 말씀을 나누셧다.
I tapped on Mrs.
나는 미세스를 살작 두드렸다.
"Guess what? I still don't know where it's goin' to."
"이거알아요? 나는 아직도 그 버스가 어디로가는지 몰라요"
Mrs smiled and said the bus driver's name was Mr. Woo.
미세스는 미소를 지으면서 말했다. 버스 운전기사 아저씨의 이름은 '미스터 우' 란다.
"Mr.Woo," said Mother. "That's an easy name for Junie B. to remember."
I covered my ears and stamped my foot.
"미스터 우" 어머니가 말했다. "그이름은 주니가 기억하기 쉬운 이름이군요."
나는 귀를 막고, 발을 세게 두드렸다.
"YEAH, ONLY WHERE'S THE STUPID SMELLY BUS GOIN' TO?'
Mother and Mrs. frowned.
"알았어요! 그런데 그 멍청하고 냄새나는 버스가 어디로가는거죠??"
어머니와 미세스는 얼굴을 찡그렸다.
Frowning is when your eyebrows look grumpy.
찡그렸다는것은.. 눈썹이 심술났다는 거다.
"Watch yourself, missy," said Mother.
"조심좀해.아가씨!"어머니가 말했다.
Missy's my name when I'm in trouble.
Missys는 내가 뭔가 잘못을 저질렀을때 내게 부르는이름이다.
I looked down at my shoes.
나는 내 신발쪽으로 봤다.
They didn't look as shiny as they did before.
신발은 조금 전 처럼 반짝여 보이지 않았다.
Just then another mother and a boy came in. And Mrs. went off to talk to them instead of me.
그리고, 다른 엄마와 남자아이가 들어왔다. 미세스는 나보다 그들과 이야기하기 위해 나섰다.
I don't know why, though.
하지만 난 왜그런지 몰랐다.
The boy was hiding behind his mother and acting very babyish. I can beat that boy up, I think.
그 남자애는 엄마 뒤에숨어서 아기처럼 행동했다. 나는 그 애를 패고 이길수 있을것 같았다.
After that, my mother sat me down and explained about the bus. She said it's yellow.
그리고 그후에, 어머니는 날 의자에 앉게하고 버스에대해 말해주셨다. 엄마는 버스가 노란색이라고 말하셨다.
And it's called a school bus.
그리고 그것은 스쿨버스라고 한다.
And it stops at the end of my street.
그리고 난 길 끝에서 섰다.
Then I get on it. And sit down. Ane it takes me to school.
그리고 난 그것에 탔다. 앉았다. 그리고 이것은날 학교로 데려다 줄것이다.
"And then your teacher will meet you in the parking lot," said Mother. "Okay, Junie B.?
"그리고, 선생님은 널 주차장에서 만날꺼야" 어머니가 말했다. "알았니, 주니 B?"
Won't that be fun?"
"재미있을 것 같지않아?"
I nodded the word yes.
나는 끄덕이면서 네 라고 말했다.
Butinside my head I said the word no.
하지만 머리로는 아니라고 말하고있다.
