Paul the Octopus who surprised soccer fans by predicting results at the World Cup, died on October 26.
Paul had reached the age of 2 1/2 years and died in his tank at the Sea Life aquarium in the western German city of Oberhausen, according to their spokeswoman.
Paul became famous during the 2010 World Cup this year. He correctly predicted the result of all seven of Germany¡¯s games. He made his predictions by opening the lid of one of two clear plastic boxes. Each had a team flag in it.
The octopus seemed to be in good shape recently. The aquarium said that he died of natural causes.
¡±We all loved him and we will miss him a lot,¡± Sea Life manager Stefan Porwoll said.
