2) 첫째장
Here's Steve. He is waving you hello.

He says that today is present day.
스티브가 그러는데, 오늘은 선물의 날이래.

He says that it is the day everyone gives and gets presents.
모두가 선물을 주고 받는 날이래.

아, 그래서 블루가 선물을 받았구나.
Look, here are three presents.
봐, 여기에 세 개의 선물이 있네.
One of these is the present for Steve from Blue.
이 중의 하나가 블루가 스티브에게 주는 선물이래.
But she won't tell him what it is.
그렇지만, 블루는 무엇인지 안 알려준대.
She just told him that it is wrapped in colors of his shirt.
블루가 그러는데, 선물은 스티브의 셔츠와 같은 색으로 포장되어 있대.

This must be the present for Steve because it is wrapped in paper with green stripes on it like his shirt.

3) 둘째장
Here's Blue. She is looking for her present.
블루가 있네. 블루가 선물을 찾고 있어.
Steve prepared a present for Blue and wrapped it in her favorite color.
스티브가 블루를 위한 선물을 준비했는데, 블루가 좋아하는 색으로 포장을 했대.

It is blue.
파란색이요.

그래, 파란색으로 포장된 선물을 찾았니?
Here is the box wrapped in blue with blue spots on it.
여기에 파란 점 무늬가 있는 파란색 종이로 포장된 상자가 있어요.

와우, 어항에 금붕어가 있네.

4) 셋째장
Here's Shovel.
여기에 쇼벨이 있네.
He is wearing an orange scarf around his neck.
목에 주황색 목도리를 두르고 있구나.

밖이 추운가 봐.

지금 무슨 계절인 것 같니?
It's winter.
겨울이요.
You are right. It is winter.
그래 맞았다. 겨울이야.

왜 그렇게 생각했니?
I can see snow falling. And there is a snowman and trees are covered with snow.
눈이 내리는 게 보이구요, 그리고 눈사람도 있고, 나무에 눈이 덮여 있어요.
Are you expecting winter?
너도 겨울이 기다려지니?
Yes, I like winter because I can build a snowman and have a snowball fighting.
네, 눈사람도 만들고 눈싸움도 할 수 있어서 난 겨울이 좋아요.
Mommy can't wait to see a snowman that you make.

By the way, Shovel says he bought a present for his sister Pail and it is wrapped in paper with spirals on it.
그런데, 쇼벨이 여동생 페일에게 줄 선물을 샀는데, 나선형의 무늬가 있는 종이로 포장을 했대.

A spiral is a curved shape which winds round and round.
나선형은 둥글게 돌아가는 곡선 모양이야.

Yes, sort of.
그렇다고도 할 수 있지.
However, there are two presents wrapped in paper that has spirals on it.
그런데, 나선형의 무늬가 있는 종이로 포장된 선물이 두 개 있어요.
Yes. But I think there’s only one that has a red bow and a yellow card.
그래, 그렇지만, 빨간 리본이 달리고 노란 카드가 있는 것은 하나인 것 같구나.

페일이 귀마개를 하고 있구나.
She says she also got Shovel something and it is wrapped in paper with stars on it.
페일도 쇼벨을 위해 뭔가를 준비했는데, 별 무늬가 있는 종이로 포장을 했대.
Mommy, there are two presents wrapped in paper with stars on it.
엄마, 별 무늬가 있는 종이로 포장된 선물이 두 개 있어요.
Yes. You are right. And she says it has a crescent-shaped card.
그래, 그렇구나. 그런데, 초승달 모양의 카드가 달려있대.
A crescent-shaped?

You know the story ''Papa, please get the moon for me."
너 "아빠 달 따주세요" 라는 이야기 알지?
In that story, each day the moon changes its shape from a full moon to a new moon.
그 이야기에서 매일 달의 모양이 바뀌어 보름달에서 다시 보름달이 되지.
The full moon becomes a waning moon, and finally disappears. And a thin silver reappears in the sky and grows into a waxing moon and becomes a full moon again.
보름달이 기울어 지면서 하현달이 되었다가 사라지지, 그리고, 작은 은빛 모양이 하늘에 다시 나타나 커지면서 상현달이 되고, 다시 보름달이 되지.
Now, I can find Pail's present for Shovel.
이제, 페일이 쇼벨을 위해 준비한 선물을 찾을 수 있어요.

마젠타가 준비한 선물은 노란색이고, 물갈퀴가 달렸고, 슬리퍼리가 빨리 헤엄을 칠 수 있도록 도와주는 거래.
