A Mosquito and A Lion
A mosquito once came to a lion and proudly said, ¡°I am not afraid of you. You are not even a match for me. When I bite you, what would you do? All you can do is scratch with your claws and get irritated. You can¡¯t even catch me.¡±
The lion was annoyed by the mosquito, but asked her why she said so.
The mosquito replied. ¡°I am just stronger than you. If you can¡¯t believe me, let¡¯s fight.¡±
The mosquito ran toward the lion¡¯s tip of nose and bit it with her sharp sting.
The lion felt the sting. He scratched his nose so badly that his nose started to bleed. He was very irritated just like what the mosquito said earlier.
The mosquito was very happy to see him bleed. So, she buzzed backward loudly but happily.
Suddenly, the mosquito could not move anymore. She was entangled in a spider¡¯s web. A huge spider appeared and caught her.
Arrogance is the seed of disasters.
