의문을 가지다가 그것을 해결할 수 있는 실험을 발견했네요.

We're going to do some experiment 실험을 할거야
Here are cups, tissue paper and washbowl with water. 컵이랑 휴지 대야가 있어
Now put the tissue into the cup. 휴지를 컵에 넣자
What is in the cup? 컵에 뭐가 있지?
There is the tissue only. 휴지만 있어.
I'm going to sink the cup into the water just like this. 컵을 물속에 집어 넣을거야
The cup is leaning, not straight. 컵이 기울어져 있어. 똑바로가 아니야
What will happen to the tissue? 휴지는 어떻게 될까?
Does it get wet? or still dry? 젖을까? 그대로 마른상태일까?
Oh, it's wet. 젖었다.
Now let's sink it down straight 이번엔 똑바로 집어 넣어보자.

Wow, it's still dry. 젖지 않았어.
How could it be dry? 어떻게 된거지?
The water couldn't get into the cup when we sank the cup down straight. 컵을 똑바로 물 속에 집어 넣으면 물이 컵 안으로 들어오질 못했어.
Why not? 왜 그럴까?
What could keep the tissue from the water? 뭣 때문에 휴지가 젖지 않을 수 있었을까?
Is there anything else in the cup without tissue? 컵안에 휴지 말고 또 뭐가 있을까?
What? 응?
It's an air. 바로 공기야.
When we put the cup straight up to the surface of the water, there is some air in the cup.
컵을 물위에 똑바로 세워놓으면 컵안에 공기가 있어.
While we sink the cup down strait the air blocks the water not to come into the cup, so the tissue is still dry. 컵을 똑바로 가라앉히면 그 공기가 물이 들어오는 것을 막는거야. 그래서 휴지가 젖지 않을 수 있었던거지.

We have seen the movie "pirates of the Caribbean" 캐러비안의 해적 봤지?
Two men walked down the bottom of the sea. 두 남자가 바다 밑을 걸어 갔었자나.
They put the boat over their heads and sank down strait so they could breathe. 머리위로 배를 뒤집어 쓰고 바닷속으로 들어 갔기 때문에 숨을 쉴 수 있었던거야.
It is the same reason as this experiment. 이 실험과 같은 원리구나.
