1학년이라고는 믿기지 않을 정도로 정확한 문법을 구사하는 형민이...
아침 일찍부터 캠프 준비하느라 무척 힘들었겠어요..
그래도 피곤하지만 보람찬 하루였던 것 같은데..
한번 읽어보도록 할게요.^^

Title : Sleepy
Today was a sleepy day, because of my ski lesson was early.
Today I felt sleepy all day, because my ski lesson started very early.
오늘은 졸린 날이었다...를 표현하는 말이지만 아이가 직접 그렇게 느낀 부분이므로
I felt sleepy 로 주어를 바꾸어보았어요. 그리고 하루 종일, all day 를 넣어 더 매끄럽게 다듬어보았구요.
그리고 because 와 because of 는 뒤에 오는 말이 다른데,
because 뒤에는 주어 동사가 있는 완전한 문장이 와야 하지만
because of 뒤에는 명사구나 명사가 와야 하지요.
She was happy because she won the game.
she was happy because of the game.
이 두 문장의 차이를 보고 참고하면 좋겠지요.
I woke up at six O'clock, eat breakfast, and rest awhile.
I woke up at six O'clock, ate breakfast, and took a rest awhile.
역시 시제가 일치되어 있지 않으므로 수정을 해보았습니다.
If the ski teacher phone mom, that means the car is here,
If the ski teacher calls Mom, that's when the car has arrived,
차가 도착하면 선생님이 엄마에게 전화하기로 했다..라는 의미를 전달하기 위한 문장이기에
순서를 약간 바꿔 표현해보았습니다.
그리고 전화한다는 동사는 call, 혹은 make a phone call 로 표현해야 하지요.
또 엄마 앞에 my, your, the 같은 단어가 오지 않고 나만의 엄마를 이름 대신 지칭하는
용도로 쓰일 경우에는 Mom, 이렇게 대문자로 써줘야 합니다.
아빠나 할아버지, 할머니도 마찬가지구요.
but no phoncalls came until 7 O'clock.
but there was no phone call until 7 O'clock.
전화가 '오다'라는 우리식말로는 come 이라는 동사를 써야 할것 같지만
그냥 no phone call 로 표현해주면 된답니다.
So mom and I went out to wait. A friend was wating too.
So Mom and I went out to wait. Another friend was waiting, too.
역시 Mom 를 대문자로 바꿨구요. a friend 는 의미상 another friend 로 수정해보았습니다.
그리고 too 를 마지막에 붙일 경우에는 앞 문장에 쉼표를 붙여주시는 것 잊지 마시구요.
The car was here in 8:05 clock. I wanted to go to bed.
The car arrived at 8:05. I wanted to go to bed.
here 는 현재의 장소를 말하는 것이므로 일기를 쓰고 있는 장소는 아니겠지요.
그래서 그냥 arrived 로 수정을 해보았습니다. 그리고 몇시에~ 를 표현하기 위한 전치사로는
in 이 아니라 at 을 써야 하구요.^^
그리고 clock 은 o'clock 을 잘못 쓴 부분인것 같은데,
이 경우도 역시 정각일 경우에만 쓰는 말이므로 빼야하겠지요.
I got better after doing ski.
I felt better after skiing.
get better 도 괜찮지만, 아팠다가 나았다는 뉘앙스가 강하므로
기분이 나아졌다는 의미로 felt better 로 수정을 했습니다.그리고 doing ski 보다는
skiing 으로 쓰는 것이 더 낫겠지요?
After ski I went to Taekwondo at 4:40.
After skiing, I went to Taekwondo at 4:40.
여기서도 스키를 타고 난후~ 라는 의미이므로 skiing 으로 고쳤습니다.
그리고 태권도를 하러 갔다는 뜻인것 같은데 형민맘님의 설명을 보니 학원은 아닌듯,.
어린이 수준의 문장에서는 go to Taekwondo 로 표현하는 것도 무리는 없습니다.
(이때는 태권도 자체가 동사로 쓰인것이죠.)
I was sleepy.
지적할것이 없지요? ^^
I think I'll drift to sleep soon.
I think I'll fall asleep very soon.
I think I'll drift to never-never land soon.
아마 꿈나라로 여행을 떠난다는 뜻이겠죠? 평범하게 fall asleep 이라고 쓸 수도 있지만,
이왕 drift 라고 멋지게 표현을 했으니 여기에 맞게 꿈나라란 뜻의
never-never land 라는 단어를 살짝 가미해볼까요?
