이 책은 12가지의 크레파스 색을 재미있게 표현한 책입니다.
문장도 운이 잘 맞추어져 있고, 각 장의 만화같은 그림들은 친밀감이 들고 귀엽습니다.
12가지 색들이 재잘재잘~~ 수다쟁이 색들이 무슨 이야기를 할까요.
먼저 보라색이 “음! 풍선껌”하고 외치고, 갈색이 "머드파이데이" 라고 노래합니다.
다른 색들도 색들의 특징을 살려 이야기를 합니다.

2. Color.
(1) Favorite color.
어떤 색깔을 좋아하는 지 물어보고 대화를 나눠봅니다.
M :What's your favorite color?
What color do you like the best?
Which color do you like more?
(2) Huting color.
집안에서 알고 있는 색깔을 찾아봅니다.
M : Can you find red things in my house?
(3) Sort by color.
여러가지 물건들을 이용해 직접 색깔별대로 구분해보는 활동을 해봅니다.
먼저 큰종이에 색깔 구역을 나눠 Word card를 나둡니다.
만약, 글씨를 모르는 경우는 색깔 샘플을 나둡니다.
M : Here are colorful Gabe, crayons and toys.
(여기에 다양한 색깔의 가베, 크레파스, 장난감이 있어.)
How about sorting by colors? (색깔별로 구분해볼까?)
First, find all red things and put them in the red zone.
(먼저 빨간색 물건들을 찾아 빨간색 구역에 놓아봐.)
아이가 sorting 하고 있습니다.
3. Phonice
Sigh word인 Talk의 "T"에 대해 알아봅니다. 아이와 합께 /t/로 시작되는 단어들을 말해보고
Work sheet로 오려붙이는 활동을 해봅니다.
M : Can you tell me what words begin with the sound /t/?
(/t/소리로 시작하는 단어를 말해볼래?)
C : Tree!!
M : Good! Tree begins with sound /t/.( 그렇지. tree는 /t/로 시작하지.)
What else? (또 뭐가 있을까?)
C : Toad, tall, top, toy.....
M : You did a good job!

She has drawn so many things with the crayons. 크레용으로 많은 것을 그렸어.
Sky, sun, clouds, flowers and grass...
Let's read the book. A girl is inside the crayon box with many crayons.
한 소녀가 크레용들과 크레용박스에 있어
Crayons are so big and tall. Two crayons are glittering. 두 크레용은 반짝이네.
They are sliver and gold.

She is blowing a bubble gum. Purple crayon keeps on drawing bubble gums.

2.Rhyming words.
이 책은 2개씩 짝을 이루는 12개의 라임어가 숨겨져 있습니다. 먼저, 라임어에 초점을 두고 읽어봅니다.
아이와 책을 읽으면서 이 책의 하이라이트라고 할수 있는 Rhyming words를 꼭 맛보세요.
M : Do you remember rhyming words?
Rhyming words are words that end with same sound.
For example "box"and "fox" end with the same sound /ox/. They are rhyming words.
(기억하고 있니? 라임어는 끝소리가 같은거야. 예를 들어 "box"와 "fox" 는 /ox/라는 소리로 끝나지.
이것이 라임어란다.)
C : Yes, I remember.(네 기억해요.)
M : I have some worksheets. Look at this! Can you do it? (워크시트가 있는데 봐봐. 할수 있겠어?)
C : Ok. mom.
라임을 아직 잘 캐치하지 못할경우 3개의 Word를 나두고 2개를 찾는 것부터 시작합니다.
ex) I spy two words that rhyme. -- egg, rat, hat
(파닉스에 눈떠가는 아이들이라면 금방 찾을 수 있답니다.)
그런 후 차차 더 많은 것 속에서 찾게 합니다.
라임에 대한 워밍업이 끝나면 책 속에 나온 라임을 찾아 표시합니다.

3.Refrain(후렴구)
라임뿐만이 아니고 이 책에선 후렴구가 나옵니다.
Sigh word 이기도 한 후렴구의 " talk" 란 단어가 자주 반복됩니다.
얼마나 잘 캐치하는지 여러가지 악기(캐스터네츠, 북, 탬버린,심벌즈 등)를 통해 느껴봅니다.
(1) 테입을 들으며 talk이 나오면 악기를 친다.
(2) 책을 보며 눈으로 읽으면서(동시에 노래도 부름) 악기를 친다.(talk부분만)
(3) 직접 노래를 부르며 talk부분만 악기로 표현한다.
(1)번 방법으로... (2)번 방법으로...... (3)번 방법으로 하고 있군요.
위와 같은 방법으로 지금 실습중....생각보다 쉽진 않아요. 자꾸 박자를 놓친답니다.
M : Listen to the music. If you hear "talk" you'll hit the drum. Ok? Are you ready?
C : I'm ready. M : Let's start!

1. My crayons say~~
엄마와 함께 이야기의 흐름을 되짚어 봅니다.
크레파스가 이야기한다는 Talk의 의미를 강조하여 Story picture를 만들어 봅니다.
* 만드는 법
(1) 먼저 전지를 반으로 잘라 12개의 크레파스를 그립니다.
(크레파스가 이야기 할 수 있으므로 의인화해서 그립니다.)
(2) 그리고 아이에게 색을 칠하게 합니다. (크레파스에 칼라네임을 써놨습니다.)
(3) 미리준비한 말풍선을 섞어놓습니다.
(4) 찾아서 읽어보게 한 후 붙입니다.
* 활용예문
M : Did you like the story?
C : I love it!
M : Now we'll make a "story picture"
Are you ready? let's go!
Color the crayons with real crayons.(색칠이 끝나면..)
These crayons can talk. It's magic.

2. Making a book.
책 내용에 따라 아이의 옷의 무늬, 색깔등이 변한답니다.
* 만드는 법
(1) A4용지에 주인공 소녀를 그림니다.
(2) 원피스 모양을 종이에 대고 그린 후 몇장을 한꺼번에 오려내 반으로 접어 책처럼 제본합니다.
(가운데에 호치키스를 한번 박으면 끝)
(3) 각 장에서 나오는 무늬를 이야기 해보고 그립니다.
(4) 색을 칠한 후 간단한 문장을 붙이면 끝.
첫음가만 알면 쉽게 쓸 수 있도록 워드작업 후 붙이고 아이에게 쓰게 합니다.
완성 후 두꺼운 종이에 붙여 오리면 완성!! 또 다른 책이 완성됐어요.

M : Let's make a book.
What dress is the girl in the book wearing?
(책에서 여자아이가 어떤 옷을 입고 있니?)
C : Uh~ I don't know.
M : Look at the book. (책을 펼쳐보인 후)
She wear a pink dress with purple spots.
(보라색 점무늬가 있는 분홍 원피스를 입고 있어.)
What think about this spots?
C : It's looked like bubble gum.
M : Good! Turn the page. What color does she wear? (아이가 무슨색의 옷을 입었어?)
C : She wear a yellow dress with brown spots.
(갈색무늬가 있는 노랑색 원피스를 입고 있어요.)
이렇게 책을 쭉보면 감이 잡힙니다. 전부 관계있는 무늬가 그려져 있죠.
M : Ok, then I prepared this book. Draw a patten on the dress.
무늬를 이야기하며 그림니다. 다 그린 후, 간단한 문장 붙이기를 합니다.
