이 책은 오렌지가 과수원에서 시장을 거처 가정에 오는 경로를 보여주고 있습니다.
어렵게 말하면 제품이 시장에 나오기까지의 생산자, 가공업자, 유동업자 , 소비자를 보여주고 있죠...
가장 쉽게 이해하는 방법은 역시 책대로 재현해 보는 것이죠.
직접 재현해 보려했더니 몇가지 복병이 있더군요.
오렌지가 무거워 나무에 걸기가 그렇고... 쪼~금 비싸기도 하고... 해서
과일만 바꾼 Oranges for orange juice를 활용해 보았습니다.
아니 정확히 말하면......
Tomatoes for tomato juice죠.. 사용한 과일이 방울토마토걸랑요.
방울토마토 3000원어치로 실컷 따보고, 주스만들기도 하고 책도 만들어 보았습니다.
** 먼저 토마토밭을 만들어야겠죠..
박스뒷면에 대충 토마토 줄기와 잎을 그립니다.
다음 토마토를 열리게 할 차례.. 보이십니까? 이쑤시개를 잔뜩 꼽습니다.
그리고 토마토를 퐁~퐁~ 꼿습니다. (이 과정도 즐기더군요^^)
완성!! 이제 활용에 들어가 볼까요?
Tomatoes are picked. 따면서 먹으면서 바쁘다 바빠~
Tomatoes are loaded and hauled. Tomatoes are inspected.
Tomatoes are packed. Tomatoes are trucked.
Tomatoes are sold. Tomatoes for tomato juice.
토마토... 아이들이 별로 좋아하지 않는 과일이죠... 근데 주스로 만들어 먹으니 의외로 맛있더군요.
한가지 팁이라면 주스를 만들때 사이다를 조금만 넣으면 더 맛있답니다.
로지도 넘 맛있다며 또 만들어 달라고 하더군요^^
그래서 위 과정을 두번하고(공짜는 없는 법^^) 토마토주스는 세번 만들어 먹었답니다.
** 활용예문
M : We're going to pick some fruit.
Look !! So many fruits are here! What fruite do you see?
R : I see tomatoes.
M : Good! Can you pick tomatoes?
R : Yes, mom!! I love it.
M : Here some bin. If you picked tomatoes poring the tomatoes into the bin.
R : What next?
M : Let's loading up the truck.
And Let's picking out rotten tomatoes.
Tomatoes are inspected. What will supposed to do?
R : Tomatoes are packed.
M : Good! These are some box. Putting into the box.
Then, Tomatoes are trucked.
Where will the tomatoes go next?
R : To Market!
M : Let's go to the maket. And then, You buy some tomatoes.
Are you done? Let's go to the home.
R : Finaliy, Making juice time! I can't still anymore!
Mommy, Please~~~
M : Ok.... How does it taste?
R : Umm~~ It's delicious.
