Do you ever get ideas from real life?
I watch people closely; I listen to their stories; and...well, I steal them! Here's a few examples: I routinely visit classrooms, just to spy on what's going on. I loosely modeled Ms. Gleason on a real second grade teacher. And, yes, I even knew a boy nicknamed
¡°Wingnut¡± because of his large ears. So many, many, many real things in my life go into the books.

Jigsaw Jones

And The Case of the Stolen Baseball Cards

 By james Preller

Reviewed by Tremont August 30, 04

In  the beginning of the book this boy names Eddie and his Jigsaw were on the bus. Eddie started showing all of his cards to everyone on the bus. He had worn the same baseball shirt from yeserday and it was stinky. That day at school the cards were stolen. In the middle Jigsaw helps to find the cards. He found a code it said meet me after school. They had another code, it was about an apple that Eddie likes to eat. So that's how he knew it was Eddie because they are real smart and he had another binder to trick them.

Anyway, I've got a question, why did he have another binder???? So he could have one with his baseball cards in it and the other one to have because he could keep the other one empty so he would lie to everyone.

At the end he had tried to blame this girl named Kim Lewis.

He had pretended like he didn't do it. I felt mad because he had done that becaue it was a mean thing to do that. I like this book becaus I love  Mysteries. I think I always get into these myseries when I read them. I juet love these books that I can read them all at once.
