엄마표 노하우로~ '자연과학' 길터주기 제2탄

자연관찰 및 자연과학도서들을 어떻게 하면 엄마표로 제대로 활용할 수 있을까?

'자연과학도서들을 제대로 활용하는 엄마표 노하우' 제 2탄은~

'올빼미'와 '해바라기' 그리고 '악어' 입니다.~^^*

재미있는 아이디어로 만들기를 해보세요~

아이의 창의력이 쑥쑥 자란답니다.

십몇개월부터 엄마와 하는 미술놀이 만들기, 그리기 활동을 해온 가은이는

늘 가위와 크레파스를 달고 생활한답니다.

혼자 놀때 책읽느냐구요? ㅋㅋ 노우~랍니다.ㅜㅜ

그저 가위와 색종이, 풀, A4용지, 크레파스, 물감 이런거 내~~~

하루왼종일 꺼내다가 만들고, 오리고, 붙이고.. 한답니다.

얼마전엔 가르쳐 주지도 않았는데 의자와 소파를 입체적으로 만들어

엄마, 아빠, 가은이~ 식구들을 죄다 그려 오려선 붙여서 가지고 오더라구요.

넘 기특한거 아시죠?

역시 유아시절 엄마와 어떻게 놀았는지 그대로 닮으며 커가는 게 아이인것 같습니다.

'가은맘의 영어 홈스쿨'~^^* 조그맣게 첫걸음을 내딛고 있답니다..ㅋㅋ

요즘 그 공개수업이란거 한다고 정신이 없네요..

그간 가은이의 유아기를 쑥쑥과 함께 보내며 쌓아온 엄마표 노하우로 유치부부터

초등 저학년 아이들을 대상으로 영어놀이와 영어동화구연 수업을 할려구요~..

다행이 반응이 좋아 공개수업 잡힌날은 잠까지 설치지만.. 뿌듯하고 보람있답니다.

이곳 김천은 영어놀이나 영어동화구연의 불모지 와도 같아 더 호응이 좋을지도 모르겠네요~.ㅎㅎ

뒤에 어느 정도 자리가 잡히게 되고 홈스쿨의 노하우란게 쌓이믄 '홈스쿨의 노하우?'란 제목으로

이모저모 얽힌이야기를 공개할 수 있을런지도~^^* 그런날을 기약해 봅니다....^^

밤에 다니는 올빼미
본문-

깜깜한 밤이야.
숲속에서 부우부우. 누구지?
아, 올빼미구나.
올빼미는 모두들 자는 밤에 눈을 떠.
깜깜한 어둠 속에서
올빼미가 두리번두리번하더니 동글한 두 눈을 반짝.
무엇을 발견했나 봐.
올빼미가 커다란 날개를 펴고 날기 시작했어.
아주 작은 소리도 내지 않고 재빠르게 날더니
앗, 들쥐다.
올빼미는 날카로운 발톱으로 확 낚아 채서는 새끼가 있는 둥지로 돌아와
올빼미는 새끼에게 잡아 온 먹이를 먹여.
새끼 올빼미는 어미가 주는 먹이를 꿀꺽꿀꺽.
깜깜한 밤이 가고 아침이 되었어
모두들 일어날 시간이지만 올빼미는 이제부터 잠을 잘 거야
영어로도 읽어줘 봤어요^^*
It's dark night.
Hoot! hoot! there's something singing in the woods.
Who is it? do you know?
It's an Owl.
An owl doesn't sleep at night.
Owls open their eyes wide at night.
Look at this picture.
In the dark, an owl looks around with its eyes wide open to see.
What did an owl find in the dark?
An owl spreads its wings and starts to fly.
it doesn't make any sounds and fly fast.
There's a field mouse!
The owl snatches it with a sharp claw
and the owl goes back to the home that baby owl waiting for mom.
The owl feeds baby owl with a field mouse it caught.
The Baby owl eats food mommy owl gives.
yummy~~
Night has gone and morning has come.
It's time to wake everyone up but an owl begin to sleep.

'양말로 올빼미 만들기~~'
준비재료> 양말, 솜, 나무젓가락, 색종이, 고무줄이나 실

이렇게 만들었어요~

1.우선 올빼미의 머리를 만들기위해
나무젓가락을 잘라 양말의 발가락 부분에 가로로 끼워 줍니다.

2. 양말에 솜을 빵빵하게 채웁니다.
머릿부분을 손으로 잡아보면 요렇게 된답니다.

3. 맨아랫부분은 고무줄이나 실로 단단히 묶어 줍니다.

4. 머리와 몸통을 구분하기 위해 털실로 묶어 줍니다.
5. 색종이로 얼굴에 오려 붙여 줍니다.

6. 위에 양면테잎으로 눈을 붙이구요~
색종이로 나머지 부리, 날개와 몸도 만들어 붙여준다음
나무젓가락으로 올빼미가 앉아있는 나무를 표현해주면 끝!!

짜잔~~~~ 양말 올빼미 완성!!!입니다.
넘 귀엽지 않나요~

책속의 올빼미와 닮았나요?
양말로 만든 앙증맞은 올빼미를 오늘 새식구로 맞아 들였습니다.
그러믄서 한참을 축하인사를 하는 딸래미입니다.~~
반갑다나 어쨌데나?ㅋㅋ

Great Horned Owl
(Genus, species: Bubo virginianus)
We live in Alberta, Canada and we've often seen Great Horned Owls sitting on poles or gliding in the air as we drive around in our van. The Great Horned Owl was adopted as Alberta's provincial bird on May 3, 1977, by a province wide children's vote.
Distribution/Location
General: The Great Horned Owl is one of Canada's most common birds of prey (raptors) and lives here (and throughout North America) year round. This owl hunts only at night and is most easily identified by its large size and feathery ear tufts (horns). Most Great Horned Owls mate for life laying 1 to 5 eggs each year well before the snow melts.
The black area in the picture to the left represents the Great Horned Owl's living area. As you can see, it's extremely widespread.
Description - male:
Great Horned Owls are large owls -- about 18 to 25 inches long and have a wingspan between 35-60 inches. They have light gray to dark brown feathery ear tufts (which is how they ended up with the name 'Horned' owl).
They have horizontal breast barring with gray to brown, mottled bodies. Their face has a dark outline with a lighter brown center and sometimes a white bib under the chin. They have sharp, black talons and beaks.
They have large, round gold eyes. Like all owls, their large eyes cannot move. To look up, down or to the side the owls must move their entire heads and are able to turn their necks 180 degrees.
There are some differences in coloring of the Great Horned Owls, depending on where they live. But their ear tufts make them easy to identify.

Description - female: same as the male, but larger in size. The male weighs about 3 pounds while the female weighs about 4 1/2.

Description - young: The young owls are almost fully feathered and capable of short flights around eight weeks of age.
Feeding: Great Horned Owls hunt by perching or gliding slowly high above the ground. When they spot prey, they dive down to the ground with wings folded. The prey is usually killed instantly when grasped by the owl's large, curved talons.
Great Horned Owls are mainly nocturnal (meaning they hunt at night), but they also hunt during the day in the wintertime. They eat rodents, hares, squirrels, skunks, various birds such as geese, grouse, ducks and pigeons. They sometimes eat fish, large insects and scavenge road killed animals.
One of my 8 year old daughter's favorite science experiments in school was when the class got to dissect owl pellets. Owls eat their prey whole but cannot digest the fur, feather or bones. They periodically cough up pellets containing the undigested bits of their meal. In class the children picked out the bones from the pellet and worked at identifying what the meal had been. Tasha's owl pellet had the remains of a mouse.
Habitat: The Great Horned Owls are wide spread and have adapted to many different habitats. They are most often found in treed areas like forests, woodlands and shrublands.
Nesting: Great Horned Owls likely mate for life, beginning at 2 years of age. They have large territories which they both defend from others of their species. The territories need to be large to provide an adequate hunting area.
Great Horned Owls tend not to build their own nests. Instead they nest in the abandoned stick nests of another bird, on cliffs or occasionally even in hollow trees. Nesting occurs early in the spring, typically when the snow is still on the ground. The owls find a new nest each year since the young are so active that they virtually destroy their nests.
The female typically lays a clutch of 2 to 3 eggs each year (though it can be anywhere from 1 to 5 eggs). The male and female take turns sitting on the eggs ('incubating) for about one month.
Enemies: The Great Horned Owl's only natural enemy is other Great Horned Owls, though occasionally other birds may try to get their eggs.

해바라기가 자랐어

가은이에게 해바라기는... -

도서관 열람실 입구에 해바라기 조화가 아름들이 피어있어요.
일주일에 두세번씩 꼬박 도서관 나들이를 하는 가은이에게 해
바라기는 조화이긴 하지만 낯설지 않답니다.
덕분에 해바라기 꽃을 무지 좋아하지요.

  노랑색이 너무나 탐스러운 해바라기~
게다가 고소한 해바라기
씨앗까지..
해바라기 꽃송이 하나에 작은 꽃이 1000개가 넘는다고 하니
얼마나 많은 씨앗이 있을런지 짐작이 가시죠~
자연관찰책을 읽어주다보면
엄마도 따라서 자연관찰 척척 박사가 된답니다.
몰랐던 사실들을 알아가는 재미에 푸욱 빠진
가은맘입니다.~^^*

가은이의 해바라기 만들기 프로젝트!

준비물> 밀가루, 검정색 물감, 빨대, 색종이

큰 볼에 밀가루를 준비하구요,
검은색물감은 물에 짜서 섞어서 준비해 둡니다.
검은물감물을 조금씩 부어가며 밀가루를 반죽합니다.

반죽완성입니다.^^*
반죽은 재미있어~~
엄마가 반죽하는걸 절대 못참는 우리딸,,

빨대를 여러개 준비한후 짧게 잘라 줍니다.

반죽을 동그랗게 만들어 납작하게 눌러 해바라기를 만들어 줍니다.
색종이를 길게 잘라 해바라기의 꽃잎을 만들어 줍니다.

이제 자른 빨대조각으로 씨앗을 꽃아주면 완성이랍니다.
빨대 씨앗을 꽂아 꽂아~~
밀가루 반죽에 쏘옥 쏘옥~ 박히는 느낌이 재미있답니다.
열심히 그리고 진지하게..
해바라기 씨앗을 꽂아 주는 딸래미~입니다.

어때요? 해바라기 완성입니다.!!
이렇게 꽂아놓으니 해바라기 케잌같지 않나요?
해바라기 케잌이라며
촛불을 끄는 흉내를 내고 있는 가은이랍니다.
후~~ 촛불아 꺼져라~~

*^^해바라기 덮밥^^*

참치와 신김치 그리고 파프리카등 야채들과 치즈를 넣어 만든
'해바라기 덮밥'입니다.

해바라기를 닮은 참치 신김치 치즈 덮밥?~~~
맛은 어떨까요?^^

덮밥에 들어갈 재료들은 모두 아주 곱게 다집니다.
Can you mince carrot ? 당근을 다져줄래?
Please be careful not to get hurt. 다치지 않게 조심하렴
물에 살짝 씻은 신김치도 곱게 다집니다.
mince kimchi fine after roughly washing.
After melt some butter, 버터를 녹인후에
fry minced vegetable in the pan. 프라이팬에 다진 야채들을 볶아

put a can of tuna in it. 참치 한 캔을 넣어 줘
and fry stiring. 저으면서 볶아
put one slice of cheeze in it.
슬라이스 치즈 한장을 넣어줘

stir~ stir~ not to burn. 타지않게 저어~ 저어~
spread a bowl of rice on a plate.
밥한공기를 접시에 깔고
put fried ingredients on it. 위에 볶은 재료들을 올려 놓아

and squeeze ketchup into flower shape around rice.
케찹을 밥 둘레에 해바라기 꽃모양으로 짜.

활짝핀 해바리기 덮밥 ~~ 완성입니다.

'악어와 악어새'
- 본문중에서 -
바위 위에 가만히 있는게 뭐지?
한참 동안 꼼짝도 하지 않네. 바로 악어야.
악어가 물속으로 들어갔어.
숨을 숨기고서 가만히 가만히 먹잇감을 기다려.
먹잇감이 가까이 오면 재빨리 튀어 올라 꽉 물지!
먹이를 잡을 땐 빨라.
악어가 다시 물속으로 들어갔어.
기다란 몸으로 물살을 가르며
가만히 가만히 헤엄을 쳐.
친구들이 하나 둘 모여들었어.
머리만 내놓고 가만히 가만히 모두 함께 쉬어.
물속에만 있었더니 으스스 추워.
땅 위로 올라와 가만히 가만히 햇볕을 쬐어.

악어와 악어새 동화구연~^^*

악어를 만들기 위해 요구르트 빈병 여러개, 두루마리 휴지심,
쓰나 남은 짜투리 초록색 도화지를 이용했어요.
악어새는 크레파스로 그린다음 오려 나무젓가락에 고정시켜 주었어요.

눈과 코를 이어 붙이니 그럴싸한 악어가 완성이 되었네요^^

짜~ 잔 ... 악어와 악어새랍니다.

(영희 와 철수는 오리기 책에서 가은이가 풀칠해서 만들작품이랍니다.)

이렇게 치카치카 이를 닦는단다.
넌 어때??

철수: 가은아 안녕?
나 철수야.. 난 누가 시키지 않아도 일어나자마자 세수도 하고
치카치카 이를 닦아. 이렇게 이렇게...

가은: 나도 이딱아. 치카 치카! 흉내를 냅니다.

악어: 안녕? 가은아~
                       난 영희와 철수의 친구 악어야.. 만나서 반가워^^

         난 내친구 악어새가 치카를 해준다구.
어 내친구 악어새 어디갔지??

악어: 어? 저기 있다.
                              악어새야 얼른와서 내 이빨의 찌꺼기를 먹어줘..

엄마: 아하! 악어새가 악어 이빨 사이에 낀 찌꺼기를 먹어치우는 구나.
그럼 악어는 칫솔이 필요없겠네...

악어 눈도 붙이고 색종이로 이빨도 만들어 붙이니
그럴싸한 악어가 되었어요
