1. Why does Elizabeth dislike Mr. Darcy? Do you think she is making a right dicision in disliking him? State why or why not.

2. What do you think of Jane's character?

1. Elizabeth dislikes Mr. Darcy because of his pride. At the first ball, when his friend Mr.Bingley tried to make him dance with Elizabeth he refused and said that she is tolerable but not handsome enough to tempt himself. After some time, when Elizabeth made Mr.Wickham's acquaintance who is the son of the late Mr.Darcy's steward she found out that Mr.Darcy had treated him cruelly. I think she is not making a right decision. After the first ball, Mr.Darcy gave a great interest towards her in a good way, and we don't know if Mr.Wickham's words were true.
2. I think Jane is a considerate and prudent person. She tries to see good in everyone, and she never makes hasty conclusions. When Elizabeth related what had passed between Mr.Wickham and herself to Jane, she said it is impossible for us to conjecture the causes or circumstances which may have alienated them.

A1- Elizabeth disliked Mr. Darcy at first because she thought he had too much pride. He acted as if everyone except him was all below him. Elizabeth was a girl that thought true love was more important than how rich a man is. And I think she is not making a right decision. She is judging Mr. Darcy with prejudice. I don't think Elizabeth has known Mr. Darcy for enough time to know what is really in his heart.

A2- Jane is a positive girl who tries to look and find the good sides of people. I think she, unlike her sister Elizabeth, is very quiet and polite. I liked her character a lot. I wish I had an older sister like her.

1. Elizabeth evaluates Mr.Darcy in his first sight. They had the first conversation at Netherfield when Mr.Bingley was back. Mr.Darcy liked Jane who was well-educated and also good speaker. However, he thought that Elizabeth is not really suitable for a girl and expressed his feeling. Elizabeth had felt this and she hate him because she think Mr.Darcy have too much pride. And I think she is making a right decision. Because she is not accessing Mr,Darcy by his wealth, outlooking and so on. She is evaluating him by the word he spokes and the expressed feeling that he cannot control. Elizabeth made the proper decision due on attitude towards herself.

2. Jane is a gentle girl who is really positive. Even though the person only shows bad things about themselves she try to look good sides of the people. I really envy her character because when I see some bad things about the people, I start to look only he or she's bad side.

1. At first, Elizabeth Bennet disliked Mr. Darcy because she thought he had too much pride, and only cared about himself. Her first meeting with Mr. Wickham influenced her disliking for Mr. Darcy even more. Mr. Wickham told her that in his childhood, he and his father were very closely related to the Darcys, and had an intimate relationship with them. Mr. Darcy's father had promised him some property in his will. However, he complained that Mr. Darcy did not give the promised amount, and neglected him.

I believe Elizabeth's disliking for Mr. Darcy is not justifiable. Of course, I agree that first impressions are an important part of people, and that other people's judgements rely most on it. But from another point of view, first impressions might not be true all the time. A person is not always like what him or her may seem on the outside. Besides, Elizabeth hadn't known Mr. Darcy for a long time when she made up her mind to dislike him. Thus, Elizabeth is not making a right decision in disliking Mr. Darcy.

2. Jane is a very pleasant young lady. She tries to see the good sides of people and is optimistic most of the time. From Jane's personality, I received the impression that Jane was very sensible and humble, with no negative traits. I also thought even though Jane is always nice, she is not very interesting, because she does not have any strong personalities that distinguish her from the others. In addition, I believe Jane would not be suitable for an adventurous, rapturous man; her sister Elizabeth would be more likely to be sufficient for such a person.

1. Elizabeth Bennet didn't like Mr Darcy at first because he had too much pride and didn't respect hers that much. But when two people first meet, they don't show their inner self. So it's just the outer self that first met people see in each other. But if those two people grows close, they can see the true person inside. So I concluded that the judgement that Elizabeth made after the first meeting isn't right at all. She should wait and try to see Mr. Darcy's inner self.

2. Elizabeth is a very well brought up women. So she is very polite. And it is hard for her to see the bad side of people. She sees good parts of people, and that makes people like her better. But when she sees the bad side of people, she wraps her head around it and worries. In conclusion, I think she is a kind and good, and I like her a lot.

1. At first, Elizabeth disliked Mr. Darcy because he treated her like she was lower than him and talked to everyone else with great pride. As for myself, I first didn't liked Mr. Darcy either, because I thought he ruined Jane and Mr. Bingley's relationship and I thought that he was the one who snatched away Mr.Wickham's money. But when I learned out that Mr. Darcy has a kind heart and love Elizabeth for real, I think now that Elizabeth hadn't made a right dicision in disliking him. Elizabeth just judged Mr. Darcy by his first impression and first impression don't show the person's personality.

2. I like Jane's character a lot. Because Jane is such a kind girl, and I like the way she cares and treats Elizabeth. I often thought that if my sister was Jane, I will really like her. But, she is only trying to see the person's kind part. Like when at the ball when she first met Mr. Bingley, Elizabeth thought that Mr. Bingley's sisters's manners were not good, but Jane said that they are very pleasing women. So I think that Jane is a very nice person, but sometimes, behaves frustrated.
