First, I want to thank you all for your fine answers in the first mission. I hope you will continue to work hard and always have something to say after reading a book. Reading books don't just widen your collection of words. You can do that simply by going to an academy. No, reading books aren't just that. It shows you to tie the words together, make them flow in unison. And it also helps you to see the world. Its many falts, the little hopes and dreams that might or might not be forfilled. And in doing so, it gives its own opinion of the world.

To be answered by 1/20 after reading vol2 of pride and prejudice.

1. What do you think of Mrs. bennet's ideas? (About marriage, about her general views, and so on.)

2. What kind of person is Lady Catherine?

1. I think Mrs. Bennet is a sort of women that does not listen to her daughters' opinion a lot when it comes to marrige. She thinks the most important thing for her is her daughters' marrige. She wants her daughters to marry rich men, rather than men that her daughters love. She is also very impatient about it. She forces her daughters to think men of rich and noble family, such as Mr. Bingley, is very nice and suit them well. Mrs. Bennet was angry at Elizabeth when she refused to marry Mr. Collins.

2. Lady Catherine is to proud of herself to think that she is never wrong. I didn't like the way she spoke to Elizabeth. She was very rude, and she expects everyone to treat her like a queen, just because she has a lot of money.

1. I think that Mrs.Bennet's idea about marriage is not right. She tried to make Elizabeth get married to Mr.Collins to keep the house which the Bennets were living in even though Elizabeth did not like Mr.Collins, which shows that Mrs.Bennet did not care whether Elizabeth liked the man which I think is an inappropriate manner towards her own daughter. I think Mrs.Bennet's general views upon everything is quite absurd considering that she is a mother of five daughters. Her improper behaviour gave cause for Mr.Darcy and Miss Bingley to think the marriage between Jane and Mr.Bingley unsuitable.
2. Lady Catherine is a very authoritative person. Because of her wealth and rank she treats others as if they were her servants.

1. Mrs. Bennet thinks her purpose in life is to find five fine husbands for her daughters. Since their family isn't very wealthy, she hopes to send her daughters to a wealthy house. That's what she only thinks about. So it doesn't matter whether the five daughters like it or not, they just have to be married. When Mr. Bingley takes residence in near by, she urges her daughters to get married. Maybe ages ago, life was like that and being married was all about woman. But I think that is wrong. You should hope to be happy, not wealthy. So you should find a man of your liking. And I think Mrs. Bennet should review her ideas for a while.

2. Lady Catherine think her way is right, right, right. Because she has all the money to do the best. She thinks very highly of herself and so think her daughters are the best, too. And, maybe it's because of her pride, the people around her reacts to her thoughts, and even though Lady Catherine tries to "help out", but because of her pride, the listener becomes uncomfortable. In short, Lady Catherine think she up on high, and not exactly understanding.

1. Mrs. Bennet is, um, haven't got any thought in her head except sending her daughers to a rich and noble house. Like when Mr. Bingley comes to her town, Mrs. Bennet keeps taling about him and think that one of her daughter have to marhim. Because of that, I think that Mrs. Bennet is very unusual person. Well, perhaps maybe in old England, marrying to a rich house was very important, and even though Mr. Bingley fell in love with Jane the moment they danced together, the marriage depends whether they like it or not. And when Mr. Collines asked Elizabeth to marry him, anhen Elizabeth refused, Mrs. Bennet hasn't got a will to be grumpy about it. And I think the most big problem about Mrs.Bennet is that she has a big mouth. And it's not polite to just talk and talk, not paying attention to the other people, not caring about their feeling. So I didn't liked Mrs. Bennet very much in 'Pride and Prejudice'.

2. Lady Catherine is a someone who thinks she's better than anybody else. Because of her wealth and beauty, everyone(especially Mr.Collins) treats her like she's a queen. But Elizabeth doesn't treat Lady Catherine like that. So Lady Catherine doesn't like Elizabeth and thinks that her daughters is so much better than her. I didn't liked Lady Catherine a one bit because of her attitude toward Elizabeth and the other people who is more poor than her.

1. Mrs. Bennet is a person who directly represents the general ideas of the background the novel "Pride and Prejudice" was built on. Her purpose in life is to find her five daughters a good husband. I believe her ideas are reasonable. It would be natural for any mother to want their daughters to find a rich husband, especially when the family are worried about their future state. In those days, daughters did not bring the family any money, except by finding a good husband. Men received all the money instead. This example can even be seen in the book, where Mr. Collins, a far-relation to the Bennet family, is to receive all of Mr. Bennet's property when he is dead, even though he has five daughters. Mrs. Bennet is constantly worried that their family might have to struggle in poverty when Mr. Bennet has passed away. I do acknowledge the fact that her worries and wishes make her press her daughters unnecessarily to find a husband that fit their needs well. But still, her views have to be respected considering her background.

2. Even from her appearance, Lady Catherine gives the impression that she is very authoriative and plays an important part in other people's decisions. It can also be seen that she is respectable and wants to be respected as well. She tries to help others as much as her authorities allow her, and tries to understand them, but she makes some people feel at unease in her "domain", like Elizabeth. She is unmistakably proud of her life; her relations, her vast amounts of money, her mansion, and so on.

1. Mrs.bennet think that marriage is something important that makes the whole life so it needs to be done very significantly. However she always thinks that their three daughters need to marry someone who is rich. Shes shows very well about parents who thinks now days that money is the most important thing.

2. Lady Catherine is someone who is very well understandig someone else.
