1. Firstly, there is the earth's Magnetic field. So there has to be coils that make a field in the opposite direction. After that it operates another field that effects the electrons in our body. 2. There will probably be many rapid back-and-forth marks if it's a high sound. In loud sounds, the amplitude increases, and so each stroke would be longer.
