Answer : It's most probably because her behavior came as a shock to him, even in childhood. And her seeming reliance on god affected him so he went into a church afterwards.

My Answer : It's a good thing for the poor and weak people to have somethings to lean on, but the sense of power is not what should be. No one person should have the power to decide for others.

3. Why do people make fools of themselves?

Answer : Because they have given up on being thanked or loved or noticed at all. Mankind is just

a comic movie to them, since they themselves seem to have no part in it.
