1. During the trial Grigory said, "I am not a free man. If the gentleman wishes to make fun of me, I'll have to put up with it." What do you think of this?
2. 'A father has been killed and they pretend to be shocked. They're just putting on a show in front of one anther. Hypocrites!' This is part of what Ivan Fyodorovich said after he told the court that Smerdyakov was responsible for the murder. It might be hard to take in but I think there is hard truth in his statement. We weren't born with the knowledge of what is right and what is wrong. We learned right and wrong. In a sense, we really all are hypocrites. Well, that's my opinon, tell me yours.
The book, The Karamazov Brothers, is finally over. I want to thank you all for participating.

Book Report <The Karamazov Brothers>
This book is about the incident that happened around the Karamazov family. The starting point of this story is Fyodor Karamazov, the father of three persons who will stand in court in the future, each in different positions.
The first born, from the first marriage, is Dmitry Karamazov, who leads himself after his emotions, who doesn't like his father very much. The second brother is Ivan Karamazov. the boy from the second marriage, well educated, rational and resonable. And the last is Alexei Karamazov, who has a nature to love and is loved by everyone.
Dmitry and his father did not have the "loving bonds" that every family is expected to have. Instead, the father abandoned his son and the son abandoned his father. But whe Dmitry asks for his inheritence, Fyodor helds a meeting infront of Starets Zosima. But Dmitry was late and the meeting was canceled. After a few incidents later, Dmitry rages at his father and threatens to kill him.
Dmitry tries to get 3000 rubbles to marry his love Grushenka, he is seen bloody and with money. And the police comes to take him away for murdering his father. But it turns out that Smerdyakov, not Dmitry, killed Fyodor Karamazov, out of bitter thoughts of hate and fury towards his father.
But Dmitry realizes his hatred for his father, and takes the crime as his own anyway. Smerdyakov confesses his crimes to Ivan, and Ivan is left to question his beliefs. The story ends as Alexei Karamazov, the lovable one, unites the street boys. I think it represents the solved discord between the Karamazovs. By solving the discord, the family may have peace at last.
This story, full of passion and incidents, is full again by thoughts and confessions. It gives you a thought of your family and your loved ones. And it gives the joy of literature. It is indeed the best work done by Dostoevskii.
