I once had a very important speech in America. I had to speak on ‘How Asians think about education’ in front of many principals and teachers. I was very nervous and worried. A voice inside me kept saying, ‘I can’t do this because I’m not good enough to do this.” So I told myself, “I can to this. I am a doctor in education from Korea. Who else can do this now but me?”
Have you lost self-esteem so you were afraid to do something you had to do? Please write about it. When, where, and why were you afraid and how did you get over it?

유령회원, 감사인사 드리려 커밍아웃합니다 ^^ 건강하시지요 ?
거창하게 유령'회원'이랄 것도 없이, 요 미션 달랑 하나 어제 해본 거지만,
좋은 커리큘럼 받아먹고 입닦고 있기가 괴로와서 달려왔어요 ^^
클레어는 첨엔 책에 별로 열광하지 않아서 사놓고도 2주 넘게 책장만 차지하고 있었는데 -열광하지 않으면 많이 권하지도 않는 귀차니스트 & 소심 엄마임다 -
오히려 미션을 해보고 나서 관심이 생겼는지, 설교조로 read out loud 하기도 하고 나름 뭔가 얻어내고 싶은지 곱씹어가며 읽는 폼이... 좋은 교사의 좋은 자극이 어떤 효과를 낳는지 교과서처럼 보여주네요 ^^
self-esteem니 respect니 하는 주제들이, 늘 다른 통로로 이야기를 하고는 있어도 엄마랑 대놓고 공략하기는 뻘쭘할 수도 있는 거인데, 작문 과제를 통해서 어렵지 않게 이야기 나눌 수 있었네요. 다 홍박샘님 덕분이어유.
예시를 주시고 질문을 던지니 글쓰기가 쉽게 탄력을 받는 거 같더군요. 마침 비슷한 경험이 있어서 그런가?
여하튼 철자 틀리고 시제 틀리는 거 예사로 하는 거 외엔, 즐겁게 했습니다. 감사합니다.
