교우관계( Freindship) - 수화 (Sign languages)

My name is Molly. / I have a freind named Ben. / We are best buddies.
Ben is deaf. He can do everything that I can do. / He can read. He can count. / He can write and draw.

Hello, I am Ben. / The children in my class are deaf. / The teachers like us to listen.
Tey like us to watch when they speak. / They like us to talk too.
My teachers use sign language. / We use sign language too. / We use our hands and fingers to make signs. Did You Know? / Different countries use different sign languages.

Every letter in the alphabet has a hand shape. / You can spell out words with your fingers.
You can spell out names with your fingers.
Many words have a sign. / People have a name sign. / Molly's name sign is a smile./ She is always smiling.

[ 활용예문 ]
Look at the picture at first. 이 그림을 봐. / What dose he do? 뭘 하고 있지?
He reads a book. 책을 읽는 구나. / Can you read this word? 이 단어를 읽을 수 있니?
It begins with 'R', /r/ /r/ Read. Read는 /r/소리가 나는 R로 시작하는구나.
Trace the word. 따라 써 보자. / Now, cut along the dotted line.이제 점선을 따라 잘라봐.
Finally, You finished your picture card. 드디어 그림카드가 완성되었다.

How do the deaf children speak? 귀가 들리지 않는 친구들은 어떻게 말을 할까?

What is the children's favorite class? 아이들이 가장 좋아하는 것은 어떤 수업일까?

Ben is deaf. Can he still do anything that we can do? 벤은 귀가 들리지 않아요.
우리가 할 수 있는것들을 벤도 뭐든 할 수 있을까?

Let's read the title first.	먼저 제목을 읽어 보자.
Molly's Friend Ben	몰리의 친구 벤.
Look at the children!	아이들을 봐.
One is a girl, the other is a boy.	한 명은 여자 아이이고, 다른 한 명은 남자 아이구나.
They look so friendly.	참 다정해 보인다.
Who are they?	그들은 누구지?
Who do you guess Molly?	누가 몰리인지 알겠니?
She is Molly and he is Ben.	여자 아이가 몰리이고, 남자 아이가 벤이에요.
Look at Ben's ear. Do you see anything special?	벤의 귀를 좀 봐. 뭐 특별한 것이라도 보이니?
Yes, I do. He has a small plastic tube.	네, 작은 플라스틱 튜브가 있어요.
Do you know what it is?	그것이 무엇인지 아니?
Let's read and find out what it is.	책을 읽으면서 그것이 무엇인지 알아보자.

[ 활용예문 ]
Look at the example box. 예문 상자를 봐.
These are the Sign Language Alphabet in America.
이것들은 미국의 알파벳 수화야.
Who use these sign language? 누가 수화를 사용할까?
The deaf children use, like Ben. 귀가 들리지 않는 벤과 같은 아이들이요.
Right, you know well. 그래 잘 알고 있구나.
They use their hands and fingers to speak.
그들은 말하기 위해 손을 이용하지.
Look at the 'A'. Can you copy it? 'A'를 봐. 따라할 수 있겠니?
Take a look closely and make your hand like this.
잘 보고 이렇게 손을 만들어 봐.
Good work! 잘 하는구나!
Let's change each sign to a letter. 각 수신호를 알파벳으로 바꿔보자.
They can be changed 'B','E','E'. 이것들은 b,e,e로 바꿀수 있어.
Oh, It means buzz buzz 'bee'. 오, 이것은 윙윙 벌이구나.

② While Reading (Workbook p 4 ~ 10 )

- Word Bank (단어 중심의 학습) / 책 속의 단어들을 이용해 충분한 Word practice를 하도록 돕습니다.

- Sentence Bank (문장 중심의 학습) / 책 속의 문장을 이용해 reading comprehension을 시도합니다.

[ 활용예문 ]
This is the question that you should look at the picture and write the sententence like example.
그림을 보고 예문처럼 문장을 쓰는 문제야.
Ben is doing something. 벤이 무엇인가를 하고 있구나.
What is he dong? 무엇을 하고 있지?
He is reading a book. 책을 읽고 있어요.
Three words are scrambled. 세 단어들이 뒤섞여 있네.
Can you fix them? 바로 고칠 수 있니?
Yes, I can. 네.
Which one goes first? 어떤것이 맨 앞에 와야 할까?
'He' has to go first. 'He'가 맨 앞에 와야 해요.
So it begins with Capital letter. 그래서 대문자로 시작하는 구나.
Listen to what I say, 'He read can', 'He can read'.
내가 말하는것을 잘 들어봐. 'He read can', 'He can read'.
Which one heard correctly? 어떤 것이 옳바르게 들리니?
It is 'He can read'. 'He can read'요.
Can you read, too? 너도 역시 읽을 수 있니?
Yes. I can read, too. 네. 나도 읽을 수 있어요.

③ After Reading (Workbook p 11 ~ 14 )

- Reading Bank1,2,3 / 책 속의 장면들을 그대로 이용하여 그 상황과 맞는 질문을 통해 이해도를 체크합니다.

Look at the picture. 그림을 봐.
Who is he? 누구지?
He is Ben. Hi~~Ben. Say hi. 벤이구나, 안녕~ 벤, 인사해봐.
In first picture What is he doing? 첫번째 그림에서 벤은 뭘 하고 있니?
He is reading a book. 그는 책을 읽고 있어요.
Ben can read like you. 벤은 너 처럼 읽을 수 있구나.
What is the title of this book? 이 책의 제목이 뭐니?
It is 'Tiger'. 'Tiger'예요.
I think Ben likes to read about animals.
내 생각엔 벤은 동물에 대한 책을 읽는걸 좋아하나봐.
Now read the question loudly and choose Yes or No.
자 이제, 문제를 크게 읽고 Yes나 No중에 알맞은 것을 골라봐.

① My best friend

아이마다 자기의 best friend가 있지요.^^ / 나의 가장 친한 친구를 만들어 봐요.
그 친구에 대해 여러가지 생각해 보는 시간을 가져 보세요. / 마지막에는 친구의 모습도 그려 봅니다.
친구와 더 가까워질 수 있는 계기가 될 것입니다.
프린트하여 오려서 두꺼운 종이에 붙여서 할핀을 이용해 움직이게 만듭니다.

② Pretending to be Ben

아이의 귀를 막고 벤이 되어 보게 해 보세요.
책의 마지막 페이지의 알파벳 수화를 보고 따라해 보고, 단어도 만들어 봅니다.
아이에게 Ben이 된 소감을 들어 보는것도 좋겠지요.

[ 활용예문 ]
From now on You be Ben. 지금부터 벤이 되어 보는거야.
You can use just your hand shape when you say something. 너는 단지 손의 모양만을 사용해 말할 수 있어.
Take a look at the American Sign Language Alphabet table. 수화표를 잘 봐.
Every letter in the alphabet has a hand shape. 모든 알파벳은 손 모양이 있구나.
Can you spell out letters with your fingers like this? 너의 손가락으로 이렇게 알파벳을 쓸 수 있겠니?
Can you spell out your name? 너의 이름도 쓸 수 있겠니? / Way to go~. 잘했어.
