일년은 사계절로 이루어져 있습니다.
겨울이 다 갈 무렵, 나무에 새순이 돋아나고, 새는 둥지를 짓지요.
새가 알을 낳았어요.
봄에는 나무에 첫 잎이 나오면서 함께 꽃이 피어요.
어미새는 부리에 모아온 먹이를 새끼들에게 먹어요.
초여름이 되어 체리가 잘 익었어요.
새끼 새가 나는 법을 배우고 있어요.
한여름이에요. 체리는 (새 등이)모두 쪼아먹어 없네요.
새둥지가 텅 비었어요: 새들은 날아가 버렸지요(떠났어요)
초가을에, 나뭇잎이 황색으로 변하기 시작해요.
찌르레기들이 먹이를 찾아 날다 나무 위에서 쉬고 있어요.
늦가을에는 나뭇잎이 말라 오그라들어 떨어집니다.

<단어를 살펴봐요>
* 계절에 beginning, mid, end를 써서 'at the end of winter',
'at the beginning of summer', 'mid summer'등으로 세분화시킬 수 있어요.
* bud : a small part of a plant which sticks out from a branch or stem and will
develop into a flower or leaf.
* blossom : the flowers that appear on a tree before the fruit.
'blossom'은 보통 열매를 맺는 종자식물, 과수에,
'bloom'은 열매를 맺지 않는 식물에 쓰여요.
* starling : 찌르레기
A starling is a very common European bird with greenish-black feathers.
* venture : 위험을 무릅쓰고 ~ 하다.
