너무 유명한 책인데.... 종이죽이나 부직포를 이용해서 만든것 이외에
별다른 후기가 없는 것 같아서 좀 안타까웠구요.
저는 OHP 필름 이용해서 괴물을 만들어 봤답니다.
기대 이상으로 아이들이 좋아하네요. (처음으로 글 올리는데,) 자신감을 얻어 이렇게 올려 봅니다.
만들기도 쉽고 하니 많이 활용되기를 바라면서.....
책의 특성상 부분별 그림은 책에서 부위의 테두리를 따라 그려서 오리기만 하면 되네요.
특별히 만들기에 재주가 없으신 분도 쉽게 하실수 있을 것 같아요.
우선 색종이로 각 부분을 오려서 OHP 필림에 붙였어요. 전 양면 색종이밖에 없어서 그걸 이용했는데, 나중에 활용이 더 다양해 지네요.
아들녀석 요즘은 시시때때로 요걸 들고 이렇게 저렇게 조합해 보며 신나 합니다.
Go away하며 한장씩 제거해 보세요. 몇번 책을 읽어 줬더니 아들녀석 혼자 만지작 거리다가
"엄마, 난 무서워서 착한 괴물 만들었어. 이젠 못 잡아 먹겠지?"하네요.
아마도 제가 "I'll eat you up"하며 으르렁거졌던게 무서웠던 모양이네요.
아이가 "엄마, 괴물 수염 났어" 하네요. 양면 색종이를 이용했는데,
투명한 OHP 필름이라서 책의 내용에 그치지 않고 다른 괴물도 만들어 지더라구요.
이 작품을 만들기 위해 들어간 시간이나 노력에 비해 효과는 너무 컸답니다.

여러번 하다 보면 부분명칭이나 묘사된 형용사를 암기할 수 있죠.

Hmmm.... The monster smells you.
Ummm.... Good smell. You must be delicous.

Now the monster has a big red mouth with sharp white teeth, a long bluish-greenish nose and two big yellow eyes.
Watch out! Look at that red mouth and sharp teeth.
He is likely to say " I'm coming to swallow whole you."
Run away! And hide not to find you out.
[two little squiggly ears,]
But the monster can hear you however quiet you may.
[scraggly purple hair,]
The monster has a few hair.
Let's count! One, two, three, four, five, six.
He has only six scraggly purple hair.
[and a big scary green face! But....]
Grrr.... I'm a big scary monster.
I'll gobble you up.
Do you think he is scary now?
[You don't scare me! so go away, scarggly purple hair]
Are you afraid of him?
Oh, He looks very hungry.
Maybe he will try to eat someone.
Who will it be? YOU.
Then let's chase him away!
How about shouting loudly "You don't scare me!"
Louder "You don't scare me!" Go.
May The monster was frighten.
Let's shout together again. "Go away!"
[Go away, two little squiggly ears!]
Pop! Scraggly purple hair is gone.
Go away, two little squiggly ears.
[Go away, long bluish-greenish nose!]
Ta-da! Now no more hair.
No more nose.
That's it. Good.
What will disappear next?
Right! Go away, long bluish-greenish nose!
[Go away big green face!]
Look at him. Now I'm not afraid of him.
He looks funny.
He looks like a kind of fruits.
But be careful. He still has sharp white teeth.
Go away, Big green face.
[Go away, big red mouth!]
Now he has only two big yellow eyes, a big red mouth with sharp white teeth.
He will soon disappear.
Go away, big red mouth.
